@@-chenlanying5818 Yes indeed,so were Chiquitita/Fernando and Move On/Al Andar from where Abba got influenced..La Isla Bonita's backing vocals construction here is pure Abba reminiscent as many had quoted at the time of release.One of the most popular UK music mags in the '80s(if i'm not wrong must have been 'Smash hits' either No1'", had also referred to Both 'Chiquitita' and 'Fernando' while reviewing this in their issue.When Madonna did her 2006 Confessions tour she performed this while wearing similar outfit that Abba girls had used in their 1979 World tour.This time it was asked fromt JPGautier to design it especially for that set of her performance.

Did you realize the 7" mix is different from the album version? It's very hard to find on CD, even the Maxi CD single from 1996 features the extended and the instrumental mix, but NOT the radio mix that was everywhere in spring 1987!

🎶💃🚶🕺👭This video was shot in Los Angeles. You can see the city thru out and at the very end of the video you see the buildings of Los Angeles as she is dancing away. Madonna had said the video was shot in Los Angeles. Here's a fun fact for you, Benicio Del Toro home at one time was referred to as the Spanish Brad Pitt because he did in his younger acting days look very closely like Brad Pitt. In the video he is 1 of the men dancing and he's also leaning on a car smiling at Madonna as she dances past him. The video starts out as Madonna is looking out the window after she has lit some candles and she's kneeling and praying she is a shy woman in the video and she hears the Spanish guitar being played by this man she is fascinated with she has dreams about the song and she is the person in that song in her imagination on the Spanish beautiful Island and she looks out the window day after day to see that man playing and she's also fascinated with the song and him he'll look up at the window at her and he will back in her to come down with a knot of his head but she'll hide behind the curtain and back away until eventually the song wins over her and she dress ed to her illusion of what she see herself as she pretends she is this Bonita on a Spanish Island she joins in to the music and she starts to dance with the men in the streets then everybody joins in men and women and even children. This video was also controversial because in the original video she is dancing and that skirt she has on flares up as she's coming down the stairs in her apartment and you can see Madonna wild and Free underneath because she had no underwear on and you can see she also didn't shake. When it had been playing for a couple of months and people were commenting about it and that she wasn't aware and neither were the record company they all had to reshoot or blur out that part of the video of her underneath the skirt.

Yes the song was released as an album track on True Blue on June 30th 86 but it wasn't until in March 87 that this song was released as a single with the music video. This music video was shot in L.A. I love the juxtaposition between the introverted, chaste looking Madonna in a white dress in a blue room and her in a red flamenco dress in a red room with a lot of candles. This music video was directed by Mary Lambert who also directed Madonna's Borderline, Like a Virgin, Material Girl and Like a Prayer music videos.
