Hi ladies! So this tour was originally supposed to end in 2008. However Madonna decided to extend this tour to 2009, and she changed up the setlist a little too. “Holiday” replaced “Heartbeat,” “Dress You Up” replaced “Borderline,” and “Hung Up” was removed from the setlist, and instead she did “Frozen” after “Like a Prayer.” There is no professional recording of those songs. However the KZbin channel “MadonnaLiveTV” has some really good high quality audience videos. I would love to see you guys react to these three added performances! Thank you for all of the reactions.❤

I was there in River Plate, the first and 2nd night of the four shows she played in Baires, it was the my first madonna concert and was such a surreal experience, like a dream come true. I traveled from Lima just for the concert. I’ll never forget the moment she sang Don’t Cry For me Argentina, live for the very first time ever, the cheering from the crowd, the tears in people faces, I wasn’t even able to hear the end of the song, all I heard was the screaming crowd, I must admit that, even tough I’m not a sentimental guy at all, that moment made me cry as well. One of the best nights of my life, for sure.

Like a prayer surely has something magical about it. I’ve been to four of her tours where she performed this song and each time it was a different experience. In this tour in particular she made such an upbeat version of LAP that we could feel the whole stadium shaking, no exaggeration. The ground beneath the bleachers felt like made of rubber and it was going up and down during that song because people were jumping so much! Once again, thank you for watching this with us! It always feel like we’re all in the same room kiking and having a ball! Big hugs, ladies!

Her energy on this tour and the amount of dancing she does is truly amazing. I think this tour she danced the most of all her tours. She starts slowing down somewhat as the tours go on as even age catches up with Madonna, but nonetheless she still remains incredible ❤

The biggest, highest grossing female tour of all time (before the era’s tour), this tour was MASSIVE in every single way, even us in the middle east heard about it on TV and news commercial as “the biggest show on earth by the most successful female artist” and everyone here was so shocked because we never saw a show like that before

Oh girls, watching this video with you reminded me of the incredible moments of this show, especially this last part. The energy was actually incredible, I remember that at the last show in Sao Paulo we were in line all day, in the rain and at show time, in that last part I was jumping so much, there was so much energy and the vibe was so intense that I skipped the set I hurt my hand and only realized it when I was at the hotel. And really the next day I was still asking myself what it was that I had experienced. And this was repeated on the MDNA tour and also at Celebration here in Rio. You only need to see a Madonna show to really understand Madonna. Thank you girls and I await the reaction just behind the scenes of this tour.

Most don’t notice that the stage starts as a huge box that opens and expands to reveal the show. Opening of tour was just an LED box that slowly opens and expands. Then at close of show the box closes again as it says “game over”. Very cool concept of the whole show and energy coming out of that box.

Madonna is the best performer ever! The way she creates the show, the work she puts into it and many months of rehearsals. There are some rehearsal/backstage video's of this tour, if I remember it well. There is also a small clip, where she walks to the stage in Sweden, minutes before the show starts. Excitement alert!

I feel like this version of like a prayer is so next level that nothing can ever top it. 😂 and hung up is so much fun too. She samples a Pantera song called "another level" at the bridge. And my friend passed out 500 copies of "play dress you up" papers for the MN show for that request section, and madonna saw everyone holding up their copy and played it! 😂So much fun. Oh! That ending is EPIC! To see your faces completely perplexed with her stamina and the energy of the entire stadium reminds me so vividly of my first experience watching her at this show live at Maracanã stadium here in Rio, Brasil. It was raining, she also hasn’t been in Brasil for 15 years and there we were in that ‘religious cathartic moment’.. almost 100.000 people jumping and singing like crazy dogs at the rain while this goddess was also dancing, jumping, playing instruments and singing live for 2 hours in front of us! hahahah It was my “like a virgin” moment of madonna’s live performance debut, since with the Girlie Show in 1993, I was only 11 years old and my mom didn’t alowed me to go and see the concert with my older brother (of course!) hahaha But, that’s it! Everytime she comes to Rio, she sets Brasil on fire, people get crazy and that mad energy stays with us for the entire week. Can you imagine how it was this time in 2024 with 1,6 Million people at Copacabana Beach?! 🔥 But wait. There’s a lot of chapters before that! 😃 Go on girls! Can’t wait to see you reacting to the Superbowl right ahead. Best wishes from Brasil! 🇧🇷🎉😍😘

This last section of the tour was a peak experience for me. Like a Prayer mashed up blew the roof off and then it just kept going.... Also, I don't know if folks have given you this note, but in terms of chronology you'll want to do Give Me All Your Loving and then the Superbowl performance before continuing with the album.

So brilliant for Madonna to conceive this segment as Rave-the ultimate EDM concert/party of techno and house music that bring participants into a high energy euphoric high-which is what Madonna powerfully achieved here with this live stadium audience of 60-65K. The transition between each number and her weaving her messaging to drive home her points as a true artist and advocate was so seamless and masterful: -she began with the video interlude of Get Stupid to raise awareness of existential geopolitical problems facing the world, with the clock ticking, then she switched to -4 Minutes to emphasize the urgency for all people of conscience and compassion to act if we are “to save the world”…then with -Like A Prayer she elevates the necessity to act as a moral responsibility for humankind regardless of one’s religious and spiritual belief…she and her dancers go down on their knees swaying, praying for inspiration and strength-she goes into a trance or beatific vision evoking similar experience of religious rituals by Sufi swirling dervishes, of American Indians in a sun dance trance, in Pentecostal revival meetings where congregation members are “touched by the Holy Spirit” as they lay writhing on the floor or enter a sub-conscious state, then she -sees hope and re-awakening of moral consciousness in Ray Of Light with background visuals evoking the Big Bang birth of the universe and beginning of time-she’s reborn, fully empowered to act with a full rockstar flair and swagger with her electric guitar-she’s ready to lead this audience to battle against apathy, prejudice and whatever her detractors dish out..Awesome the way she graciously acknowledged and relished the adulation and cheering of the audience which for a moment ‘Ma-don-na!’ may have sounded like ‘Mara-do-na!’ the Argentine soccer idol who have played and was cheered in this very same stadium, then -she gave them the amazing experience to sing along with her one of her anthems LAV-which for many she is the secular version-rebellious, militant, outspoken, irreverent-of the religious icon she was named after, then -with Hung Up using a chess game visual, as a female empowerment anthem, she reminds us that the Queen is the most powerful piece that will “topple the King”-symbolic of her advocacy against chauvinism, sexism and other forms of male bigotry against women and those marginalized in society…ending the number with a heavy metal guitar riff as good as any male rocker can do. At this stage of her career, I think she feels validated and triumphant through her struggle and journey as an artist and woman when she mentioned checkmate in “29 moves”-evoking that it took her 29 years to reach this pinnacle from 1979 when she joined the Breakfast Club rock band in NYC to this tour in 2008.. -finally in Give It 2 Me, with that middle finger gesture coming out of her crotch 😂-she confronts the haters and skeptics to bring it on!..”if it’s against the law, arrest me..if you can handle it, undress me…no one’s gonna show me how…those are the people that did not amount to much at all…I can go on and on and on…No one’s gonna stop me now!…”. Indeed!!👏👏 Completely enchanted by your reaction and insight to this segment and tour. Many thanks always.❤❤😊

Madonna gets inspiration from what is going in her life at that moment. The rope jumping and athletic image may have been inspired by Lourdes biological father opening a gym brand across the country and Madonna was heavily supporting it by commercials etc.

I saw S&S twice. It was at Dodger Stadium . The last segment was so much energy . The Stadium was literally moving because everyone was jumping I was actually thinking for a sec that we would bring the place down literally. I think the enthusiasm of this tour everyone’s spirit was off the hook. Very close to Argentinas but they do it best. I’ve never been to a concert that everyone was moving. I notice every M concert I go to she is very happy genuinely smiling and giving 100 every performance. She loves performing. Thanks ladies this has been a highlight of a rough January!!!!❤❤

When Madonna rocks out at the end of Hung Up, the riff is a cover of "A New Level" by influential metal band PANTERA. Metalheads around the world were stunned, to say the least. The segue was featured in several prominent Guitar and Metal publications/outlets. That's our Queen- forever the genre-bender... 😉

On this tour, I saw Madonna live for the first time, which is why it holds the top spot on my list of concerts I've attended. Ever since that moment, I haven’t missed a single one! The last one was The Celebration Tour in Barcelona, but Sticky & Sweet will always be the one that truly made me disconnect from the world and feel completely in sync with the thousands of people in the stadium. I remember by the end of the concert, my shirt was drenched in sweat from all the jumping and dancing! At times, I just stood there, completely mesmerized, taking it all in-it was pure magic. I’ve loved seeing your reactions and how emotional everyone got; we all experienced it that way. Now, we step into the MDNA Tour era, a breathtaking journey that takes us from darkness into light. Let’s go!

Like you've said, it was a real sea of people sharing the time of our lives. Even if you are chill you can't help enjoy that moment. What I love the most of Madonna concerts is that she doesn't repeat herself. You can watch every concert she made and even if she played the same songs, they all have changes, been remixed, new choreos, everything new, things that not happen with other artists, repeating the same song, the same choreo. Watching one show is watching every other "new" show. Next stop MDNA tour, a big one. I could attend 2 shows. In B.A. and in Cordoba (power outage included). We are on this journey together. Kisses and Hugs.

The energy was so powerful, it's so an experience, you know, she gave everything and we all felt what she gave... When we went to the hotel, we were lost in the real life in the streets with "give it to me" in the head... I made a list of all the request songs.... there was a lot... it was great. I lost my bet brenda, you didn't use a tissue.... even if we saw a little tear on your eye.... 😊 Now i can't wait what you will do..... the three new songs on the leg two 2009? Or the celebration era with two new songs and singles "celebration" and the wonderful "revolver".... that will be your surprise to us. A really powerful set of songs that you wouldn't immediately think share such a common theme until you hear them all together. Something that's always hilarious is to hear Kelly Ripa, who is an absolute true blue, ride or die, hardcore Madonna fan, share her concert experiences. On this one, M handed her the mic during Give it to Me. After Kelly saw the video of it she was mortified by A) what a horrible singer she is and B) how long she kept the mic and sang while M was sitting there waiting for her to give it back 😂😂😂
