Yep, throughout her career, many focused on the controversy of her videos, songs or live performances instead of trying to perceive the message she wanted to convey

A lot of people got her message loud and clear however the mainstream media? Well they demonised her , her lyrics and creativity.

Thanks for this excellent clip. The things fame do to people . . . 😐 Been a fan since 1984, but since 2008 I've seen a change in her and she seems lost. Now she has definately separated herself from people. She's in a bubble surrounded by yes-sayers and I don't recognize her face anymore. She's 60 trying to look like 35. So so sad.

Well I'm a fan since 1984 and I never felt apart from her.

Facts! She lost the magic thing about her and I think it coincided with her acquisition of a British accent.

Madonna became famous because of how she looked. I'm not saying she wasn't talented; I'm saying it was her looks, not her talent, that elevated her above the crowd in the beginning. She was striking, beautiful in a truly unique way, and it mesmerized people. It was a visual. She and MTV found each other at exactly the right time for both - I seriously don't know if she would've made it if image in videos hadn't become so crucial to a pop star's success.

She was so BEAUTIFUL she would have aged graciously. Today she looks beyond unrecognizable. It's disturbing to see because I love Madonna I used to be such a big fan of hers in the 80s.

Well, if you’re a vapid, ageist, who’s no longer a fan because her looks changed, you were NEVER a fan, period.
@johanericsson24032 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's surprising in a way, but not in another - she was such an "image" celebrity, even more so than most. Plus a giant narcissist. You know she thinks she IS being defiant and feminist and sticking it to the man, but she's really just absorbed the sexist and agist trope that a woman can't show age in any way and is better off looking like a surgical monstrosity than simply an older woman. Although I think she's given up on looking "pretty" per se

I would like to know what she said she coped with considerably at the start of the interview. And I think Molly meant how did she coordinate the release of her movie Desperately Seeking Susan and her Virgin Tour for the 2nd question. Instead she answered the question by saying how dealt with the reactions/reception of her work/projects because she thought he asked her what the public's response was and how she dealt with it. This interview was done in December 85 and aired in 86. She called Into The Groove, Get Into The Groove. I love her intelligence and irreverent, cheeky sense of humor. Thank you for uploading this.

She says that her and Bray wrote the song, Into the Groove. But in the Wikipedia it says that she wrote it while on her balcony looking at a cute Puerto Rican guy. I assume she wrote most of it and then they polished it later.

You do know that it’s forever been a running joke, that people use Wikipedia as a true source of info right? I imagine, Madonna would know who and how a song was written.😮😂
