I made Nik's lapbook as my daughters wedding book. Places for people to sign in and all kinds of pockets for the honeymoon as she collects maps, cards, etc. It was this same setup. Love yours!

I saw Nik’s Lao Book last year, 2022. It was very impressive. You did a beautiful job with yours. I don’t know what people did with lapbooks, but they certainly look intriguing! They seem to require quite a bit of to create as well. Nevertheless, it seems like one of the big benefits of making one is that you learn a plethora of techniques to create nooks and crannies in journals. Super cool!!!

You definitely learn a lot doing a big project like this one!

You did an excellent job making this lap book !! I love the folders and all the different flaps and pockets. Also your choice of designs for each background is very well matched. @@MadPaperCrush They look like so much fun but most of my craft supplies are in storage, I have no fabric, glue, scrapbook paper, inks, ephemera. I used to scrapbook so I have rubber stamps and goofy scissors and hole punches and eyelets and stuff , but not here. Plus books to rip up. I think I'd want a thicker spine too. Was yours the one where you used two books and made a spine to attach them at the center? That seems like a good plan because you could make it any thickness you want. Seems like so much fun to explore, you could tuck little games in there back pockets, like a deck of cards, some dice and Yahtzee score papers or something. I want to make one. I saw one with a big pocket on the front, might be yours, which is brilliant because that could be switched out for one year to the next for notes or bullet journal or something.They are one of a kind works of Art, fabulous I just love them. I would want a little removable section for Field Notes, with some kind of absorbent paper in it to Press Flowers in, so I could go for a walk and pick flowers and sandwich them between the pages and press them. Maybe watercolor paper would work. Or when I was in college they had in the bookstore some kind of Botanical paper for specimens or pressed flowers. It was really thick absorbent stuff.

This is just fabulous and looks like so much fun to make! I am still searching for two sets of covers that are the same size! I love all the ephemera you have included.

Thanks, Faye - it was fun to make. Keep up the search - you'll be glad you did! And I say - start on the ephemera now, I think that's what took me the longest! 😂

I have seen my share of lapbooks and this one by far is my absolute favorite! It is sooo awesome. I made one for a friend for xmas last year and I bit off more than I was prepared for it was massive even though I had planned it our. In the end I had to reinforce the spine but as always when crafting it turned out beautiful in the end but it was work! TFS. I just found you on another page and subscribed. Be safe, be blessed, increase your joy, be good to yourself and those that love you. Peace be with you.

@MadPaperCrush3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracy - I'm not exactly sure which ones you are talking about - there are so many sections! 😂 I think all of the flip pages were secured by using a flap that was glued underneath the base page. I hope that makes sense!
