Got these a week or so ago. Looks great on the goggles. In my testing it _is_ way better in bandos. I dont get stutter when I did with stock antenna, which can only be the better gain.

IMHO IF they are comparable to TrueRC or Prodrone patches then they are a nice winner because of the foldable part. All other patches are basically stick on and leave making the goggles much bulkier and harder to transport.

It's about time somebody made some circular polarized folding antennas for the G2's!! I often wonder why the hell i have to stick these true rc Xair 2s to the front of my goggles with all this Velcro and adapters which make packing it away in my bag a pain! Can't believe it took so long. The true rc are great but these may take their place for practicality sake. Thanks Ian! I'm be sure to use your link!

Excellent review as always Ian, maybe an INAV or Ardupilot build flying a waypoint mission- wonder if you can extract mbps from some sort of a log file and graph it??

So these are lower gain than the TrueRC patches that released a year ago. Not seeing any advantages, but these look cool...a year late, but G2 already being handicapped by 04.

Cheers Ian for the channel, all your reviews and time doing so. If given the opportunity would you recommend the DJI Goggle 2 or the Integra’s, have the Goggles v1 using the original Air Unit and Vista units.

If it were me, I'd buy the G2's. I think they are the only ones that have removable antennas and they don't have gps. The gps thing is really only if your paranoid about remote ID reporting your location. I'm not worried about that, but I did definitely want the ability to change antennas easily, as that is the only way to improve your range. If you're into long range, Def get the G2s. Just my opinion. Good luck.

Hi Ian, I've come to the exact same conclusion on my tests! great to hear your thoughts on this as well. One question, you mentioned you could use these folded in, but wouldnt that cover up the internal antennas, if I'm correct the G2s have 2 more antennas internally as well. not sure how much loss that woudl mean tho, so I'm curious

Would the goggles 2 or V2 be better for long range? I notice it seems that lots of long range pilots are still using the V2 with patch antennas. My Integras only get about 2.2km under ideal conditions. I can replace the antennas with a little effort, but I’m not sure if that would make them as good as the goggles 2 or V2 with the same antennas.

I would also be interested in this. I can't find a fair comparison between the G2 and V2 both with TrueRC antennas. But I found one creator on yt who personally recommends V2 instead of G2. According to his test, V2 have better penetration and range than G2 when taken with O3.

@@teepeeoff I haven’t seen anyone state it, but that seems to be the case with all of the long range videos I’ve watched. I can confirm that there are MANY posts in comments and on websites about the stock Integra not being able to get about much more than 2.5km. Integra range is supposed to be similar to the G2, but I have yet to see a fix or claims of anyone getting the similar range.

Gotta say I like these (personal preference I guess). I did buy these patches and I've found them really solid. I do alot of flights for work inside buildings, so some skin in the game, and I definitely have seen an improvement with reception. Yeah, I might look like The Tick, lol, but genuinely super impressed.

These are complete trash, the best antenna is the stock one if you go behind you you’ll lose signal. You’ll crash onto a house like I did.

Isn't that exactly the point, you don't fly behind yourself? like Ian said they are directional antenna, better range in front is the trade off.

@torpedoLaw there is always a tradeoff, you can’t magically drive more power through the same antenna. Patch antennas increase range by sacrificing power sent behind you, you have to look at your drone for the advantages. Omni antennas like the stock send equal power in a donut shape around you 360 degrees
