+gimboyblue1990 many large stations have some kind of alarm board visualizing which apparatus are dispatched, old ones often just with the vehicles listed and illuminated by a lightbulb, new ones are either TV screens or such LED boards like in this video; Unfortunately not all of them are visible to us filmers when waiting outside the station

Yes. Amber is a warning colour. It is more visible to the human eye than blue or red, both during the day and night.

@@dxb8086That’s complete bullshit. It has been scientifically proven that red and blue combinations provide the best light transmission. Amber lights on emergency vehicles look ridiculous. Amber lights are for utility and airside vehicles.

It's an old law made way back when bomberos didn't run lights on their apparatus (fire or EMS) that never got repealed due to franco not giving a shit about anything or anyone for 30 some odd years. Then they had a lot more pressing matters to deal with and it's stuck ever since
