We drove 2 hours to get to the Volcano. A female police officer met us and told us it was closed...This was Aug. 18, 2022. When we returned the next week the volcano was done. You waited 7 years. Thank-you for sharing your wonderful experience.

A bit disappointed the video didn’t end with you destroying the ring and being rescued by the eagles…. 😂 On a serious note, AWESOME! My faves were the one where you had the foreground filled with the network of lava flows and then the last one with the people. The perspective compression worked a treat and it just looks jaw dropping (my jaw actually dropped when I saw it).

Nice you made it. Your first reaction is very similar to my first reaction last year amidst thick fog at midnight but the crater and lavaflow was visible. A bucket list experience for sure. I hiked back and forth three times then

I am so pleased for you Mads to witness this eruption. My daughter and I were lucky enough to witness Fagradalsfjall last year August 2021 and I did get some great images with the clouds above lit up with every colour from the glow off the lava. I too was the same as you when I first saw it, completely lost for words and just stood there not believing what I was witnessing. As a beginner photographer at the time I then went into headless chicken mode but did manage to get 30 or 40 shots that I was happy with. These events are probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. Your images are incredible, the drone footage is as you say EPIC. This Vlog gave me goosebumps, top work m8 👌🌋
