I went to Iceland in April last year with my dad, as a 15 y/o photographer, and look back with regret knowing that I did not nearly manage to capture the beauty of landscape, as I thought I was much better than I was until I was faced with such overwhelming power from there. This summer I am going to Norway, and I pray that after watching all these videos and doing so well with photography GCSE at school, that I’ll be able to make the trip worth it. All I want to say is thank you, Mads, as these videos are not only instructional and informative, but humbling and inspiring, and watching you as a photographer and a personality is extremely influential on my work. I even have an A3 page of work on you in my photography schoolwork! Once again, thank you

When you introduce the human element into the image you only begin to understand the scale of the landscape. The images and the drone footage were magnificent Mads and can appreciate why you want to keep returning to the Faroes

Quoting your friend Nigel Danson with "It just doesn't get any better than this!" was a "nice touch" and a fitting description for the location. You two guys add a wonderful "positive" in a crazy world where we must focus (pardon the analogy) on the positive within a barrage of negative news media. "Mother Nature does nice work!" is one of my slogans.

GOLDEN HOUR THE COMPLETE DAY! Insanity....at first I thought it was the Witches Finger as seen previously in one of the videos ....loving the drone footage awesome...like looking at another planet with that incredible light behind the stack..SURREAL ....the stone cottage ...thinking it belongs in a fairytale....quite frankly one of my favorites of the Faroe Islands to date..and as always Mads thank you for braving the elements...averaging upper 90 degrees here where we are In the summer and maybe As low as 20 for a day or two in the winter months don’t know if my body cou,d handle that extreme cold...being basically a portrait photographer your landscape fill my mind with incredible visions for shoots encasing a subject...stay blessed my friend..

Great vlog with some outstanding images, Mads. I noticed that you didn’t do any longer exposures to ‘smooth’ out the water. Was this due to the high winds potentially affecting the stability of your tripod? By the way, love your unbridled enthusiasm, so infectious.
@MadsPeterIversen5 жыл бұрын
Nope, it's because I don't like the long exposure effect on the sea. It makes things look small ;)

Hi Mads, inspired by your amazing series on the Faroe Islands, I just booked a 1.5 month stay there 🙂 I will re-watch all your episodes while on the ferry. My only worry is *midges*. I remember those nasty biting mosquitoes on a short stopover stay 8 years ago. Will I have midges in March-April, and if yes, what to do against them ?
@MadsPeterIversen5 жыл бұрын
Wow, that's a long stay there. Midgets shouldn't be a problem in that period :)
@PhilippeNoth5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mads, About the drone disconnecting. I am making the exact same experience. In my case the solution was to to turn on Airplane Mode. Just try it, who knows...
@myplanetphotography81145 жыл бұрын
With the windy conditions, would you consider turning on your IS on your lens?
@proach35 жыл бұрын
MyPlanet Photography not when you are on a tripod, that would introduce more shake
@jeffreyhawker90425 жыл бұрын
Typically I wouldn't on a tripod, but given it was windy and presumably causing the camera to shake, then I wonder if it would be helpful, I guess it would depend on how much camera movement is occurring, but I suppose, more than 3-4 stops worth. Just thinking out-loud. I guess fewer variables might trump the situation.
