True that. During my Marine Corps career, I was married to a woman, which I found out just wanted "The D" and the image and respect that I had. I always talked to her about "The future", but she didn't seem care about the future or think that far ahead. She just wanted the glory, image and respect, and wanted it day to day. Well after I couldn't persuade her with being on board with my vision for "tomorrow", I "Fired" her ass. Fast forward, I retired and did exactly what she didn't believe I told her I would do. I made almost a million dollars in four years, but her mentality back then was when I was only making 55k per year. I'm laughing still to this day, because if I would have not let her ass go, there would be nothing left of that million to show for my hard work, and would have fired her ass after the money was all gone.
