I have been to Banda a couple of times. Fantastic food- ampas terigu (coconut bread), ikan bakar colo colo, delicious seaweed of some variety, tuna steaks that I first thought were pork chops with the seasoning and texture (confusing!) and rujak that used the fruit flesh of nutmeg. I snorkelled a lot, and I regretted not being able to scuba dive so much that it inspired me to get my PADI. My wife’s Aunt is Bandanese.

The price of sea urchins has soared this year, and seeing so many sea urchins means that the local environment is clean and pollution-free! The local natural landscape is truly amazing and beautiful!
