This song is really hard to do translated lyrics for cause it's based on a Japanese pun (rabuka means "frilled shark," but rabu ka, can mean "is it love?" This is a really good cover. I think the way you pronounced the words gives it a lot of character

Okay, this is probably the best an english cover of this song is going to get. You have the vocal control down to a tee, even the weird pronunciations work with the "off" vibes of this song. The only thing really missing is the growly tone of Ado's version, but it wasn't really present in any of the other english versions either and I understand that stuff can easily strain / hurt your voice, so other than that it's an insanely good cover!

Personally, I don't find the growl necessary. Mae Claire sounds like an old-timey singer, and not much old-timey singers growl as much, so I think it's still fits the vibe.

I like how you were still somewhat able to convey the other meaning of the song while not following it too faithfully. It's really hard to translate since rabuka can mean it is love or frilled shark, but that kind of pun doesn't work well in english. it was a very smart translation of the song.

This is by far one of the best covers of rabuka! The only thing thats a bit off for me is how you pronounce certain words. Like how you say 'love at all' in the prechorus (i think im not sure) it almost sounds like 'love a toll' which sounds a bit awkward, and how you pronounce jaws. It's probably a me thing but your voice and delivery is amazing, as well as the lyrics didn't flop considering that rabuka is a pun that only makes sense in Japanese. Trapped between my jaws is also a clever line considering their sharp teeth.
