Aesthetically I prefer the Marvel Legends. I'm not talking about accessories or articulation, aesthetically I like it better, especially the headsculpt.

i have both. Marvel legends Cyclop's body is much more proportionate and taller than the Mafex. The one thing dislike about the legends one is lack of accessories and the optic blast on the head looks like a pussy.

Yeah. Mafex just has that more clean aesthetic to it. I like the proportions on both tho.

totally agree with you. Further more imo ml vhs cyclops head sculpt looks better. Sadly ml vhs version have only one head

That’s so true. Also, don’t tell anybody but I just picked up a custom head for the ML and it might just make it a little bit better than the Mafex

Lol yeah the lightning collection is DEAD and I’m so mad at that for collectors. But I have the Jim Lee Magneto already. I may do a review on him but I’m not sure yet.

I honestly sold a lot of my OG ML collection (kept a few that Mafex has yet to do..) and went all in on Mafex. I loved ‘97 but I need the x-men I grew up with and that was Jim Lee X-Men.. Just glad I got enough for them to upgrade to all the Mafex figures out currently and thankfully got them at Hobby Japan before they sold out. The best part about Mafex.. is they’re the “perfect” version of the character. If you get any of these X-Men figures you won’t really ever have to get another version. And yes, that 97 Cyclops has a horrible head.. weird ass baby face/cheeks. VHS one is fine but lacking accessories.. plus has the celshading.. which you can remove with alcohol. But still a lot of hassle and extra money spent to get a perfect Legends cyclops.. and they’re charging 70+ for the VHS on 3rd party sites now.. so, may as well get the Mafex.

I agree with most of what you said. The ONLY pushback I'd say is. When it comes to leg articulation. Especially on wolverine. Legends beats mafex easily. And that let's him crouch down and hold those poses soo much better than mafex

See I think Mezcos character designs and remixes are cool (in concept) but the soft goods make me anxious. I think their Wolverine is REALLY good though
