Never really understood the hate for this game. Yeah it sucks having to basically do the same task over and over, but it’s brutal violence and fun shootouts every time. Isn’t that exactly what you want in a shooter game?😂

Feels weird saying this, but Mafia 3’s combat is way smoother and fun than Mafia 1. I felt that Mafia 1’s combat was kinda clunky and stiff a little bit but is still good. Although story wise and graphics Mafia 1 definitely takes the cake.

Loved the game tho the only bad thing about it was the glitches in the game but other than that I loved the combat, the guns, the story and how each of your actions change the outcome of the game like giving all districts to one person, or splitting the districts between them. Also the end to choose whether to kill them or leave to California or stay

Mafia 3 is so damn underrated. While the core gameplay loop was pretty repetitive, I feel much of the media at the time of its release went overboard and rung it out to dry. Most games reviewers criticized the game for being super repetitive while other games of its type that came out in the same timeframe were just as, if not *more* repetitive - but got more praise or at least less criticism. Now, criticisms of the bugs are warranted. I played the game again a little while back when most of the bugs were wiped, and there were *still* moments where the game crapped itself and went AWOL. But man, I stuck through because everything from the writing and presentation to the gunplay and great soundtrack was so well-done. Seriously, if you have any interest in this game, buy it and try it out. If you don't like it, you can always refund it. Most of the glaring bugs have been ironed out (Not all, mind you) and the expansions give the game some much-needed diversity. While there are some definite weak points in the game, what it does right (in this case, story, writing, presentation, and music) it does very, very right.

yeah i liked the new tone this game has you create your own mafia while taking down Marcano's , the doccumentary style its great and so is the gameplay and ost what really helped me through the repetitive missions was the Objectives button (square on the pause menu)

@@Kingj411 my only BIG problems was the repetitive missions (kill this guy , interrogate this other guy , confront an noc that behaves like all the others you killed) all of this to make the story move forward and your underbosses barely do anything , SPOILERS : first you gotta do favors for them some of the are story related the others are optional if you want bonuses but in the final mission they dont show up only when you choose who takes over X neighborhood or decide to betray them and the epilogue and thats it the final mission could have been better imo

I may return to Mafia 3 just for the DLC they made free with the Definitive upgrade. Also, I did up Mafia 1 on Classic difficulty. Quite a challenge, especially with the Fair Play Race.

the PC port now is even worse than before i heard the xbox one version runs fine , i got it on PS4 and got no problems technically except when I had to talk to certain Npc and the dialogue dissappered (although that might be the game itself ) what I really hate about the PS4 version is that it takes ages to install
