I enjoy riding a car in Mafia 2. The developers did this process very satisfying. Just look how the car wiggles when it pass edges of the road. Engine and brakes sounds are realistic and different for different models. Also you can drift and switch between two driving modes: arcade and realistic. Sure GTA 4-5 cars have better crash physics and more tricks to do, but Mafia 2 needs less PC resources to work so I can play it on my PC

Agree with you completely. Mafia 2 has amazing Driving Physics. Tires slipping on ice on the Street, suspension is really great too. Cars have a great feel of weight to them. I honestly feel that in terms of Weight and feel of the car Mafia 2 beats GTA IV. We dont need to talk about GTA 5s trash car physics.

I didn't know about mafia until a while ago, like 2 or 3 years, I'm quite impressed and after watching this video, since I'm passionate about driving in GTA 4, I'm definitely going to play mafia 2

Reminds me of how in Driver: San Francisco, as well as other games, you can fucking terrorize the city, speed through traffic lights, weave in and out of traffic, basically overall become a menace to society and nobody cares. But then if you gently nudge a police car suddenly the entire damn force is after you.

And people panned this when it came out. It's beautiful. I also can't stand how people mistake higher resolution for more advanced graphics. Mafia 1 definitive edition does not look nearly as good as this nor is it more advanced. It looks cookie cutter in comparison because it's just higher resolution. It's not more advanced. THe amount of immersian in the world as the game plays too as far as things going on in the world. The only thing I hated about this game was it could have been even better and they rushed it as far as the side missions and just tacked on the dlc. Outside of RDR2 this is still probably one of the most immersive game worlds ever made.

Absolutely correct. Mafia 1 DE pales in comparision to this gem. DE looks good, but thats about it. Its missing the charme the original version had. Mafia 2 will always have a special place in my heart.

@@XxMoonMan Yeah it's hard to say which game is best. Mafia 1 still looks really good probably the best overall but lacks the added details that Mafia 2 has. I even enjoyed mafia 3. I like the added sandbox and there is more to do in the open world as far as just messing around. It probably offers the best of all worlds. But mafia 2 takes the cake as far as immersion imo. It's story is also top notch. All 3 have exce;;emt stories overall. Mafia 1 is the most straightforward of the bunch and probably the best for what's there it just lacks the added immersion and details. It doesn't have that weird glossy effect mafia 3 has either. It just looks sharp. I enjoyed the Mafia games. They get panned by critics but as far as good action adventure games and immersive worlds Mafia is pretty underrated. ALl 3 games. If Mafia 2 was up to par as far as it's resolution and everything compared to the other 2 I'd say it's best one easily but I'd say they are all pretty equal for different reasons. I was messing around with 2 and 3 the past couple days but am back playing the first one right now. I wish there was more going on in the open world is all. They tried to do that with the 3rd one and people panned it but it's not as bad as they say. I had a good amount of fun playing that game. Mafia 4 should be really good.
