I think you kind of sums up the hate in your comment when you say "the gameplay looks okay." We've had so many amazing open world games over the last few years with great gamepla and gameplay mechanics that when gameplay for a game such as Mafia 3 looks "okay" it seems a bit disappointing, that's not to say it looks bad, just perhaps not as good as people had expected.

I don't hate it. It just seems kinda underwhelming. Graphics, characters, setting and stuff look great. But the AI is pretty bad, the sound effects are repetitive or nonexistant (Lincoln barely talks except in cutscenes), enemies clip through doors during kill animations constantly, and the rearview mirror draw distance is terrible. (looks like a storm is swallowing everything up behind you). I guess it's just really unpolished atm.

Well, what do you want them to say? You can clearly see these glitches yourself which are quite common in open world games where u cant tailor every action to ALL environments. The game offers too much freedom for that

I think they are under contract with PlayStation therefore they are legally bound to cover things in a positive light. They don't lie about how good the game is but they ignore the bad stuff.

I think tha game will be solid 8,5-9/10, hard to tell how good it will look coz of you tube videos but it already looks 10x better from watchdogs2, it has better feel and better protagonist on top of all the mafia stuff and late 60's climate. Definitely gonna buy and play it, just not sure if on ps4 or pc yet.

They have a simulation for driving you can choose between arcade style or realistic style of driving.and the AI will be tweak up and a bit but other then tht when the game releases it'll be great they just got to fix a couple glitches before they release.

Great video as always guys. This game looks killer. I see artifacts like people walking an inch off the ground and objects floating in space kind of things so I hope they fix that. I love touches like police response time based on how affluent the neighborhood is - car bombs - love that and feeding bad guys to gators - bad ass!

You probably should play 2, because Vito is the main protagonist of 2 and there will definitely be references and characters returning from Mafia 2. It is a new story, but it is very much in the same universe and with some of the same characters.

they better have options to switch off the HUD elements. like the rearview mirror on top while driving is annoying to me. also turning off the HUD completely will give an amazing in-depth experience. the game is good though. just needs a faster paced gameplay this looks too gimmicky. the driving looks heavy. has to be a lot smoother other than that game looks great.

Peter Parker Really? Ok, haha. I love Sleeping Dogs but driving isn't the best, especially since the camera is fixed to the car. So turn the car slightely and the world moves around you. Very annoying. @gabriel rizeto: I'm GTA obsessed but the Mafia III driving hardly looks worse than GTA V. I mean GTA V has arcade driving. It's fun and easy. I'm just trying to see why Mafia III driving "looks terrible." :)

Mafia 3 should have given us a gang war/minecraft themed multiplayer where we fight over the city and build our own rackets and extortion in 8 vs 8 teams of Mafia vs Mafia. Because this game will be dead after the story is finished which is why I won't buy this. There is no replay value outside of the story and that is sad because this game will be just like the Godfather 2 in a week decent but not worth $65. They should consider this as a possibility to make more lasting appeal being they took so long to make another Mafia game and this being the last one.
