that mafia remake looked insane for a 8th generation game...

It really did. Too bad no 60fps update had fun for a few hours on my series x but couldn’t stomach 30 fps. Worst is driving at 60fps it’s cancer

Yeah this was the game that blew me away at TGA, surpassed all my expectations on the visuals front which was very high based on their last release!

I’m so glad that a game like this is still able to exist in today’s cutthroat industry. Aside from Mafia 3 (which has its moments, don’t get me wrong), these games are great. I especially love replaying Mafia 2 around Christmas time Also glad that we have a close release window; so tired of games being announced then sitting in development hell for several years

3:20 Yep, there is a connection. Hangar 13 has a studio in Brno, Czechia. They are working on this game too.

Mafia is one of those series that has had deep impact with me. I first played it way too young at my friends dad and I actually once asked (before any english lessons as I'm a Finn) that "what does this double u hore mean?" from friends dad, I just remember him blushing and saying something like "You'll learn it someday" :D BUT I mean I loved the first one so much even with all its bugs :D Like we just accindetally realized we could mapwalk if in freeride mode if you wheelied with "Crazy Horse" car on top of shed. Upon exiting car you would spawn on top of the hood and could jump on top of the shed and over the fence and see the level limits! That was just so WILD for us might've given me this spark to tweak around games (config files, modding) and also because my setup has usually been very lower mid tier :P Ah yes I've played thru Mafia 1 many times (OG and Remaster/Remake) and 2 also. 3 I played maybe halfway to main story and just coulnd't no more xd I do like the game but haven't yet gotten it beaten.

Yet to see a UE5 game launch running at a smooth 60fps with minimal graphical bugs on console but we'll see. They done wonders with the previous engine

Jusant does do this, but it's not a realistic looking game. I say we won't see it until the next Gears game comes out. The Coalition showed everyone how to do Unreal Engine 4 right, even on Xbox One.

I just beat mafia definitive edition yesterday and started the second one. So disappointed It didn't get the love and care that the first one did. But has to be one of my favorite series and beyond excited for this. I hope it goes back to how the first two games were and not the third. Too many open world games running doing pointless stuff.

The second one has aged really well and absolutely doesn't need a remake. Still looks good and plays well. Honestly the first one has aged surprisingly well too considering it's age, even though it was definitely due for a remaster. Glad that they pulled it off well!

@Iisakki3000 I would disagree after playing the remake of the first one. The guns don't have any pop in 2. it zooms in way too far when you shoot. There's a lot of quality of life updates that can make the game a lot better. And I would just love to see if the updated graphics. But with that being said, I do agree that it doesn't have to have one. It still is a very fun game. story is great as always. And the graphics aren't horrible by any means.

the shooting mechanics in 3 are by far the best!!! not even close!!!
@agtjackbauer21 сағат бұрын
@JadeLanay I'll have to play the third one again. But the remake of the first one, the shooting mechanics themselves aren't great. But Something about the feel. it is the most satisfying thing to me. I can't put my finger on it.But I was thinking about this yesterday. The third one is a good game. I just sick of open worlds. Going back to the first two is such a breath of fresh air.

Hopefully this will be the one game without unreal related performance issues... Sad to see yet another studio ditch their unique tech in favour of ue. The trailer looks real awesome though, hopefully it will be good!

I am interested in this game more than in GTA 6. I want more games about mafia in older settings. It's a bummer that we didn't get any new games out of Team Bondi (Whore of the Orient was closed).

Great, every game using Unreal Engine 5. Every game will feel and look the same.

Maybe they switched to Unreal only for this game, since it sould be on a smaller scale than previous games.

Heh, this franchise's becoming yet another UE5 release again?? What a bummer 😬 The Mafia Remake was already a step in the right direction of developing their own in-house engine, this whole "UE-fication" of games have become increasingly unhealthy ngl. They should've stick on the organic path of game development.
@mudpie-studio-v1c22 сағат бұрын
Dear fellows why do you still make those nonsense comments about UE5 based games fatigue ? This is just pure nonsense. UE5 i just an amazing piece of tech and I'm so excited with each game being developed with it. UE5 based games fatigue ? This can only be true if you are talking about lazy developers using same assets over and over and making game clones instead using something that was known as creativity. UE5 is a tool, great one. Take a hammer. This is another great tool that is used across the world and do you feel like there is a hamer based pieces of work fatigue ? Please.
@banjomir51923 сағат бұрын
WTF is this with the "Unreal 5 fatigue" nonsense? It is about the GAMES, surely! What business is it of yours if a developer switches to UE5? Being "disappointed" about it really makes NO sense.
