Xbox shaping on this direction is from the fact that the physical sales arent delivering as much as people complain and claim to be. Xcloud doesnt get enough of appreciation on what it does. Smart delivery never got the applause of what offers to you by sparing to buy a version for the new console. Backward compatibility never got the appretiation because most of the people regardless of the advantages it offers, they bought a PS5 that offers nothing.... except for some ps4 games that you cannot enhance them since you need to buy spiderman 1 for ps5. We complain alot but we never appreciate much of what xbox has tried to give us since 2017. You can play alot of new games coming day one for basically free if you have the sub already. We left dreamcast burn as we left psvita down too until nintendo lectured us in 2022 with a OLED version and a hardware weaker than a ps4 released 9 years before... and psvita had a oled in 2012

As someone that has several Xboxes around the house, a desktop, laptop, Android phone and a ROG Ally, I like the fact a portion of my Xbox library now works on ALL of those devices. Joke about this campaign all you like, but it's a good way to let consumers that aren't hanging on gaming news sites all day to understand the idea and it brings people into the ecosystem

That's what the single console PS fans dont understand. Sony wants us to rebuy our games up to x3 to get to play it on whatever console they have out .They always overcharge for games in their store, they have turned into the digital console version of Gamestop. I enjoy both consoles, but my main console play comes on xbox. Fanboys are scared of the future. Xbox One had all these things that are now common place on a console, but some of these same fanboys were crying and hollering, when MSthey introduced it and they acted like Sony was with them smh...

I remember having a 360 and loving it but I couldn’t get an Xbox One cause I don’t have a way to get WiFi so I went with a PS4. Eventually I had WiFi and waited until the launch of the Series consoles cause it looked like they were finally going to try and make a comeback but after 4 years, I’m just dissatisfied with the product. I own an Xbox but their messaging doesn't take anything from their box which works well. - Cloud saves just work. - Quick resuming multiple games just works. - It has the option to install on external or internal or automatically on different storage. - It has game pass which is still quite good. - They have a good selection of games coming out over the next year on Xbox first. - it has a better zoom function than other systems or at least on par with the Switch (for those with visual issues). - the Xbox series s is a very affordable entry to this gen or those wanting to get Xbox alongside Switch or ps5.

They need to analyze what made the OG Xbox a success. It’s cool you can stream and buy digital games. But not everyone can nor wants to do so. Also they moving away from physical media was the last straw for Me after years of them making games and not fully support them. And when they did it only lasted 2 years or so. I'm legit watching this on my Series X. Also, their only doing this because they only care about Game Pass. Like you can't even access it on other devises that not an actual Xbox without Game Pass. And that's what's causing the problem. Their so focused on GP 220% of the time, that their to blind to see what people actually want. Like I'm honestly getting worried about the gaming Industry as a whole. I don't have a good feeling where gaming is gonna be in 10 years if this keeps up. And if we don't speak up now, then gaming is screwed.

I play my Xbox games between PC, Xbox on my TV, or my Rog Ally handheld depending on the situation on how i want to play, all of them let's me pick up and carry on where i left off and i don't need to buy multiple copies of the same game to do it so how exactly is that a bad thing?

I’m going to go with the fringe rumors that Xbox gamepass will be priority, moving forward, and that they will offer a “budget” handheld device (Series S quality, or better), and the high end console ($700-1000 range). They will be third party, plus niche devices. That said, I feel like that’s where gaming is going to end up, regardless. We are going to end up as PC and niche hardware/consoles.

For me personally the best combo for an international truck driver like me is xbox at home connected to the internet and remote control play with xbox app on my phone and a controller I play offline rpgs like dragon dogma 1 and diablo 3 so I dont even have any subscription

Other than the Xbox X being more powerful, Microsoft bought tons of studios while on the Xbox One era and released almost no games meaning that on the Xbox X era everyone expected all these games to come out… Yet this did not happen, no games have come out and they can now be played from anywhere which is good but also stupid and bad. The point of a console is for it to be a gaming specific device capable of running games without any hassle and great exclusive experiences and third party support drive console sales!!! Meanwhile over on Playstation, their exclusives aren't selling with the exception of an occasional game once in a while. Astrobot was a 90+ GOTY game and was a sales flop. Concord and Lego Horizon cost Sony hundreds of millions because they were massive flops. And recoup what exactly? ABK is an asset, not dead money. Do you rent out your house or work overtime to recoup the money you spent buying a house? No because it's an asset.

Who cares about the console war? It was never a real competition and X-box has never truly cared about it, why start now? Seriously, Xbox is just a PC alternative, it's literally what they have always branded it, but to give up like that? Not only it's stupid, it's also a non issue. Make it modular, make a core console and then instead of producing all of it, just sell upgrades, same as with a computer, literally makes products easier to afford if you can buy pieces and easily swap parts... I am playing xbox series x while watching this. I love being able to play my games o. Almost anything because that means that sometimes when i have been away from my xbox i can use my rog ally. I initially fell inlove with xbox playing it on my tablet and later pc. After I bought my xbox I used to play xbox on my mobile while at work. It has been game changing for me.

Xbox really needs to come out and just admit their failure. They can't sell their console and they can't sell their games, all they have is game pass. Just tell us you're going 3rd party and your games aren't exclusive anymore and you can play 'gamepass' on anything with an internet connection and a screen. Imaginé bought the Xbox series s last year, and a couple months there are new Xbox series S with 1tb and now the console isn't needed to play anymore it's like little sad because I could have waited couple months to play on my PC or the TV. Those options are available in Mexico since the beginning of the generation but the cloud gaming wasn't that stable at that time. maybe I just sell this console and look for a Xbox One Minecraft edition just to have it on display.

I sold my xbox series X after redfall was announced at 30fps but 60 fps on PC. Buying a PC was the better option PS5 for the rest. I use to like xbox not a fan of microsoft gaming

I bought an xbox series X for gamepass. I bought a 3 year but scubscription to gamepass ultimate about a year ago. 2 years left but im hardly even usinging gamepass. If ps+ had revised before I bought a series X. I would probably have a ps5 right now. Thats not to say im not using my xbox. Im just struggling to find anything worth llaying on gamepass. Was addicted to warframe quite a few months earlier this year and now im addicted to genshin. But I could do both of thise things on a ps5

ANYTHING else of the few were studios that they bought in their Zenimax and Activision purchases. Sony has literally released, just off the top of my head in almost 4 years......Returnal, Ratchet & Clank, God of War Ragnarok, Ghosts of Tsushima Director's Cut, GOTY Astrobot, Demon's Souls, Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Helldivers 2, Lego Horizon, Sackboy's Adventure, Horizon Call of the Mountains, NONE of which are remakes or remasters on top of a highly successful device in PlayStation portal and launching PSVR 2.

I agree this seems like a Phil Spencer problem... they could expand their user base by broadening the ability to play games on non-Microsoft hardware, w/o making their user base feel like they're going to abandon them. First party exclusives matter... they've just had a bad run the last few years. All it would take is a couple of really good, exclusive games, to shift public sentiment and push sales numbers up.

Microsoft's strategies as of late, not just limited to XBox / gaming, are just confusing and feel misguided. They certainly are ALL IN on GamePass / streaming, but given their lack of compelling and proprietary titles, it's really hard to see how this current path is sustainable or leads to anything new or industry expanding / defining, or fuels growth of their user base. Meanwhile, Sony / Playstation & Nintendo sure seem confident in what they're doing and the directions they're going. Such a shame... it didn't have to be this way.

Imagine Asus making a gaming box or other companies including Sony.
