To be fair I looked up the demographics of the town my house is in and we have 1.76% blacks. I also looked it up for the town I own 80 acres in and it is 99.15% white (no joke I was surprised as well) Depending on where she lives seeing a black person may be rare.

I have a BA in History and Social Science with a minor in political science and business management and I was going to be a teacher. Listening to these people not know the difference between the Revolutionary war, the American Civil War or War between the states is so painful to hear. To think that our education system did not impart important knowledge about this country is very sad. Either that or they forgot what they learned and started to accept info from sources that were not correct.

So had slavery been the main issue Lincoln simply could of said ok slavery stands, the southern states would have said cool and everyone would have went home. He was restrained. Handcuffed. One in law enforcement should know the difference between someone resisting, and someone struggling to breath or dying. If someone were chocking in food while being arrested, the action of not assisting them while in police custody, falls on the law enforcement. "The prone position restricts ventilation and diminishes pulmonary perfusion. In the setting of a police encounter, metabolic demand will be high from anxiety, stress, excitement, physical struggle, and/or stimulant drugs, leading to metabolic acidosis and requiring significant hyperventilation. Although oxygen levels may be maintained, prolonged restraint in the prone position may result in an inability to adequately blow off CO2, causing blood pCO2 levels to rise rapidly." That means the officer killed the person.

He had his knee - his whole body weight - on Floyd's neck for over 9 minutes. It was the cause. The knee pressure caused asphyxia due to neck and back compression. I don't know what autopsy report you think you read, but it wasn't Floyd's.

My original point was that in the US it is mainly the history of your own country that is taught for your entire school life and yet the vast majority of the people spoken to in this video couldn’t or wouldn’t say what caused the Civil War…which like it or not from an outsider’s perspective seems a far more pivotal point in your country’s history than the Barbary Wars. If you think it was to end slavery it’s incorrect that wasn’t the cause it was the effect nobody in power of the north at the beginning was attempting to free anyone they didn’t care one way or another until they realized it was the best and easiest way to keep support for the war… initially it was just like most conflicts tax tariffs and regulations it became about slavery as it progressed…
