I also read that despite republican fearmongering about illegals robbing Americans it's actually the other way around and that makes sense. Illegals usually have more cash on hand since they can't as easily open a bank account and they also can't go to a lawyer as easily. So robbing an illegal migrant rather than a born American get's you more loot for a lower risk.

I’m Canadian but lived in the USA for about twenty years. My American husband and son voted in USA elections. However, I didn’t want American citizenship and I KNEW that even a legal immigrant such as myself couldn’t vote in USA elections. It’s common knowledge that non-citizens can’t vote in the United States. It’s even illegal for non-citizens to vote in Canadian elections. We have the same problem here, though, with the alt-right and Conservatives screaming that non-citizens are voting here and that the Liberal Party is allowing thousands of refugees in because they will start to outnumber “Canadians”, aka White Christians, and will vote Liberal. I’m a multiple generation White Christian Canadian and all I can do is roll my eyes at the rectal orifices. One thing I don’t understand though is that Canadians have to have two pieces of acceptable ID in order to vote and it’s my understanding that the UK and most mainland European countries have the same policy. It isn’t a big deal for us and no one gets all warped and twisted and indignant about it.

It's so blatantly obvious none of these people have even met or spoken to an illegal immigrant and allow their fears to feel certain things are happening that have no basis in reality. As someone who has known lots of illegal immigrants throughout my life I can guarantee none of them are even thinking about voting or politics in general. The ones I knew worked most of their day away(14+ hours) and after a long day of work they would come home just like us and have a couple of hours to eat and spend time with their families in their homes then go to sleep and do it all over again. In their free time, just like some of us, they would drink beer listen to music and just relax. Most of them did their best to avoid any kind of crime because their biggest fear was being found out and deported. The vast majority of their disposable income went to their families. They went to work and they went home that was it. There almost 0% chance that they would even be able to vote but if they were there's almost 0% chance they would choose to stand in line around a bunch of people and cast a vote for Joe Biden. Politics is the furthest thing from their mind their sole focus is working and supporting their families that's it.
