Parabellum1262, I wanted to congratulate you on this rubber band gun design! There is so much going on here in design, it's deceiving! Trigger, delay and A14 tolerances are critical for proper shooting. Also, spring stiffness is a subtle detail people may get hung up on... (Hint: Free Bank Pen Springs Work Really Well...) I'm on my 2nd build of a slightly modified design. I've finally got it tuned in and acting as it should. I'll post a video soon of it in action. I appreciate engineering and simplistic design. In a day of over engineered electronics, It's refreshing to build something mechanical that puts a smile of my face! :-) A+

Thanks for the praise! My opinion will be biased but a friend of mine has concluded it's close to perfect. High capacity magazines, compact and with none of the reliability issues of a blowback gun. The dual trigger system is also more user-friendly than a selector switch. I'll be glad to see your build!

Yes. The reason I don't have a heavier delay is there is so little space.

Is the intent for the Rotor to spin on the pin or the whole pin assembly to spin in the frame holes? Also, are you adding two washers to the delay unit around the pin?

The rotor should fit tightly to the pin and spin freely inside the frame holes. I did add two washers but they are probably unnecessary.

High Density Polyethylene or HDPE. eBay is probably the easiest way to find some.

I use Tasmanian oak which is probably very hard to find outside of Australia. Any kind of medium strength hardwood should be fine, such as maple or mahogany.

Can you make a p90 using the same magazines that you use with the magarms because the real life p90 has that type of magazine so it would even be acurate to the real model

What would you think about making an actual revolver? I see a lot of people making a rubber band gun with a cylinder glued on.

I have considered a design like this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqirp4uAibWbn5I (skip to 1:20) However the rubber bands are so tiny they would be quite weak and inaccurate. That makes it a low priority for me.

If you load more than 16 rubber bands, does it tend to jam?

The rubber bands tend to get crushed against the sides and they start to break.

It's hard to decide which is which when it comes to rubber band guns. I figure if it resembles a magazine, I will call it that. I bet you if I described these as clips plenty of people would object!

Pro tip: only use WD40 after aplied finish cuz otherwise it can soak into the wood and make it expand (I ruined my mechanism this way once) thats becouse WD40 is made for metal and so i choose to use dry soap or candle wax and rub it an the mechanism. I think its much safer and works everytime but ill let you be the judge
