Kudos! a great introduction to all the features and capabilities. Definitely they have studied YoloBox and pick/choosed a subset of features to duplicate, while adding some really nice, flexible future proofing as well. Not having an internal modem, no problem, As you point out.

I would like to see this Mini not sat on a desk with wires neatly tucked away but in more a 'real use' example. For example in a outdoor location (sports event for example) mounted on top of a main camera, with a second camera attached to the tripod for a wide shot, anda radio mic reciever plugged in all being controlled by a presenter standing in front of the main camera using a mobile phone to switch, which is also being used as a third camera. Not using the local network but the internal hotspot. I would like to see how neat the wires and sockets are in use and if the unit is practical in that scenario. Especially if it drops any frames when streaming. Finally a USBC to HDMI output which would run to an external monitor or bigscreen. Sitting neatly on a desk is not really 'real use', surely this example is more how the unit was intended to be used.

That's very interesting! I wish it could do 4K h265 streaming 😆 can it bond multiple USB 5G modems to optimize the stream?

As it is right now, it has no bonding features and can only output max 1080p60 (both stream and HDMI/DP via USB-C PD). It can capture up to 4k60 and downscale that. For bonding and HEVC, the best plan is to combine it with Belabox and capture the HDMI feed out of the USB-C PD port.

This is awesome! Thanks for the review! I might have missed it, but can we send an RTMP feed into it? Like wirelessly streaming from a Gopro/Osmo Action to it?

You will need a RTMP proxy for that. On a RasPi4 or the likes. But yes, once you have that, it would be able to receive RTMP from a GoPro or Osmo Action camera indeed.

sorry. It will not. USB to UVC and USB to HDMI are two very different thiings. The DJI cameras do not support USB-C to HDMI.

@@P4JJPThe LinkPi ENC1 V2 encoder can be used as a cheap alternative to convert USB to HDMI. It's actually cheaper than the OBSBOT 2 actual USB to HDMI converter and doesn't have the problem, that the OBSBOT adapter has: the LinkPi can actually deliver the amount of power, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 needs. The OBSBOT 2 USB to HDMI converter can not.

It matter of fact can. When you create a camera scene, you can add another camera view in. You even can add multiple.

Yes, it takes inbound RTMP, SRT and NDI feeds for video sources. That's the part, that makes it quite unique. I still have to test, if it runs it's own RTMP proxy, but the Magewell ProConvert NDI HDMI converter does, so I can't see them withholding that from this product. That and Magewell support have been amazingly responsive to requests. They got DJI Osmo Action 4 and Insta360 webcam support fixed within a week or two of me reporting it.

Vertical streaming is mostly a new fangled thing at this point of time. Your best bet for that is YoloLiv at this point. Magewell is mostly geared towards broadcast production, who don't do vertical.
