I sure hope and pray that these girls and their families not only receive justice and healing, but strong standards and protections are put in place and permanently followed through.

These girls have to be tired of repeating themselves over and over about this…I hope justice is served so that they can work towards peace.

Maggie, I love the way you reminded them that you were a person, not a number or a letter, but Maggie Nichols. Your accomplishments will never be forgotten by me. I have watched all of you in your endeavor to be a winner in your own right. USA Gymnastics seems to care nothing about the athletes but about the big name you made for them. I fear this will continue to happen because the enablers who could have protected you and all others did not have your best interest at heart. How dare they tell you to stay quiet about it and they would investigate! Who knows, you could have been talking to someone who already knew the answer and could be one of the enablers. If we are honest with ourselves, LN is not the only person doing these awful deeds, but it's happening in far too many places, i.e. churches, schools, etc. Hold your head up my dear and don't forget to breathe. It will pay off.

These ladies are fucking awesome! There should be a statue made with their faces on it like Mount Rushmore and it should be placed at Olympic Headquarters in the USA.

I’ve only just watched the documentary on Netflix. I’m a 56 year old veteran this lady is my hero she defines courage and strength. What a woman watching how this young girl flew in the air was simply breathtaking. I was holding my breath on her landing safe. She was incredible at her craft. She met a monster he took so much from so many beautiful gifted young people. She should be so proud at standing up to face this absolute disgusting person. 🏴 be happy you deserve it ❤

As a police officer, I have worked from time to time, in the past, with the FBI on criminal cases. The majority of "real cops" refer to them, to this day, as The Federal Bureau of Idiots! Most of them have "no clue" how to conduct a criminal investigation. In fact; the vast majority of training videos we watched regarding; officer safety issues, were from FBI agents being killed/injured in the line of duty. Because; they had no clue how to approach dangerous situations. Yet, they sure like to "preen" around like little peacocks, thinking they are superior to real police officers. They are far from it, The Larry Nassar case is but one of the myriad of screw-ups, they perform regularly! That is known as... A FACT!!!

I am so sorry for the victims, these precious girls who should have been protected. I pray they would find healing and that those who covered this abuse would be brought to justice and would repent and beg for forgiveness. Thank you for having the courage to share your stories, you are the voices for countless many.

A long time ago, people in authority were considered infallible; doctors, teachers, clergyman. It seems, when you have a lot clout and high social status, you can get away with some things, that most people can't.

Who wrote her speech? There are numerous sports medicine doctors around why didn't anyone just warn others and go to another doctor? They all, hundreds, are just so totally helpless and keep going back for more and more abuse. It would be too traumatic and gross to keep going back and not to warn others. Yet now they have no problem coming forward and talking when there is 2 billion dollars on the table.40 million females have pelvic floor therapy issues in this country. There are 30 million young people that are involved in sports besides these gymnasts.

They were only allowed to go to Nassar by the national team coordinator and their coaches. This was during training camps and competitions. If they did not comply, they would not be chosen for world and Olympic teams. It was a culture of silence because the athletes were not heard and listened to. Maggie was the first one to talk to teammates about it but even then her coach overheard and reported it up the chain of command and no one else listened. If you were in their situation, you couldn’t have enacted change either so I would shut up if I were you.

Yeah there's a reason sometimes you should just shut up with your opinions when you don't have all the facts, because you come out looking ignorant and that's never a good look. Asking questions about it is fine, but blaming them?
