I really miss this kind of TV! A variety show with skits, comedy, song and dance and music...and Ms Burnett’s goodbye song with the little ear tug at the end. Its so sad that this kind of entertainment gone. I remember splitting my side laughing and not one “F” bomb was ever dropped. Imagine that! It brings back so many comforting memories as a kid.

I never checked out what Maggie Smith looked like in her early acting career, but watching her in the Potter series and Downton Abbey it was easy to tell that once, she was a incredibly beautiful young woman, as there was still beauty there as an elderly woman. I’m so glad she didn’t do facial modification. A lot of class, and character.

Agreed. My favourite video is when she tries to teach Carol how to speak cockney with a song. A brilliant duet! She is such a classy witty, classy lady.

I remember Maggie Smith before Harry Potter. She's in a great Agatha Christie Movie "Evil Under The Sun" with another great Dame Diana Rigg and Peter Ustinov as the great Hercule Poirot. Of course she started in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie". Dame Maggie Smith did exist before Downton Abbey, have never watched an episode because it reminded me of older series called Upstairs, Downstairs and The Forsythe Saga. She was absolutely brilliant in Harry Potter I have to say. I was absolutely tickled pink when I saw her. She's always been a favorite of mine. I love the fact that the city of London was bathed in Purple Lights in honor of her passing. RIP Lovely Lady!!! ❤❤❤
