I am always excited to see you take a journal to share from your "magical journalcase". I love your broad area of interest and expertise. Yes, indeed, we need to head over to Monocacy Hill before it gets too hot! All my outside time has been in my gardens. Making great progress in continuing the wide and deep native/perennial/pollinator garden spanning the front of the house. I left last season stems/seed heads standing so I could identify this season's growth and was rewarded yesterday with two flashes of bright yellow of American Goldfinches leaving some of the coneflowers. Always a delight!

Howdy, Denny! You made me smile with your opening sentence! Love that! Not only have I got a "magical" basement... now I have a "magical" bookcase, too! Yeppers... love to see the goldfinches flashing their bright yellow color around the garden. I know they'll be by later this summer when the zinnias are blooming... fingers crossed... if the zinnias bloom! Everything is so late this year! Too wet... too dry... too cold. @@JustJournalingwithPossumPatty 💚Yes, this has been a strange growing season, for sure. I had a New England Aster I planted last fall and I was pretty sure it was dead. Then all of a sudden green appeared, and it is now looking quite healthy. Good lesson to never rush to pull old plants out as they may surprise us.

Good morning Patty! ✨🧚💕 Love all of these flower sketches and seeing all the different mediums you used to create them. The flowers done in colored pencils are so soft and vibrant. Awwww Little Titi’s paw tapping your leg - sooooo adorable! She always loves to be close to you. The musical interludes are so fun! 🎶 OoOooh and a nature walk. You are so talented at capturing what you see on paper. How you did those quick sketches while on the botany walk with other people is beyond me lol! Loooooove your fiddlehead fern watercolor with your writing framing it. The way you write each letter is art in itself! 😍 The sea turtle! 😍 Mushroom houses! 🍄Joey the cat is awesome - looks like he has some stories to tell. Absolutely magical, colorful journal. Howdy and Good Morning, Amy! Awe... thank ya ma'am for the very kind words. I really enjoy reading your remarks... chuckle... and not just because you tell me how talented I am. But because you really take an interest in my journals. Yeppers.. tis not easy making botanical sketches while running to catch up to the crowd. Well, really there's usually only about 8 or 12 on the walk... but on the trail, that's crowded. As you can tell, I love color! I love all the styles and seasons in this book! I like to do that same thing, where you put an inspirational image on a page and then draw it later - I call them my Workbooks. So inspirational to see you work, thanks for sharing.
