As scary as it is, this whole quarantine thing feels like it's really bringing a lot of people together. My community is more or less shut down at the moment, but people have been bringing hundreds of pounds of pet food to the shelter I volunteer at, because we have a pet food pantry that is overwhelmed with need right now. Churches and the city as a whole have been giving out free meals to kids who relied on school lunches, and places like local nature preserves are staying open so people can walk around and get outside. So many zoo's and museums have been doing virtual tours to give people something to do. It's very human, and I love seeing the world sort of at peace, even if it's for a very sad reason.
