MAGIC CASTLE IN THE SKY | Sims 4 Speed Build

I built a flying castle in the sky in #TheSims4 ! This magical overgrown palace uses base game and the Realm of Magic Gameplay pack only. It was inspired by the Castle in the Sky animation movie from 1986. I recently found it on Netflix and rewatched it again. The trees and foliage in the roofs are a nod to the movie. I made it a good wizarding school for fairies or the like. I hope you like it!

Aww, thanks so much! I am happy you like it. I usually just build what I personally like or think is challenging. I rather build something that isn't on the gallery yet, or just not the way how I imagine it and then I build it. I am building in The Sims since the first game, so yeah,...I have built my fair share of family houses already. :D

I love it how you placed those trees on the roofs. The rock underneath the tower can this way also be used to build a castle on a mountain. :) Yellow wallpaper is smart, since we unfortunately don't have solid gold wallpapers. Those crystal's and their lighting adds an even more magical vibe overal.

Yeah. You can use those stones for anything really. But be aware they are huge. So I guess they only are handy on very big lots

This gave me soo much inspiration to also build something magical in the sims!! Btw the roofs that clip true walls is a bug that happens when you place a fense inside...

Really? I am dead sure these roofs were already clipping inside when I did the layout. It is definitely a new bug though. The lighting is also way more wonkier now and sometimes the roofs are completely black for me. I have told the devs and they are aware of that bug and they promised to fix it.

This is such an inspiring build thank you so much for sharing !!! Also for the Roof clipping on the inside .. this actually happens when you divide the interior room up using fences or beams. Idk why this happens either and I think it’s a bug they should fix but I’ve found you can get around it by making sure these areas are not closed. Like if you leave one part of the fence open sometimes it doesn’t clip the roof anymore.

Absolutely breathtaking. My sims will definitely be visiting this lot. I also like the color scheme, very different from the dark realm of magic. The rocks floating rocks are a bit big, I would prefer them a bit smaller. I hope you make more magical building like this

Loving it so far! in case you didn't know, if you click on a "room" you can click the yellow ring around the ceiling area to add or remove a ceiling!

Yeah, that's a good idea. maybe the next magic build has more crystals instead of trees. I have to check out if they glow in the dark, if so,...then maybe a darker build would be cool!

I watched some episodes of it but it wasn't quite what I like to watch. The house and set design is very good though and I know what you mean. The house is definitely more up my ally. Oh yea! All of Europe has access to the Studio Ghibli Collection on Netflix. You should check out the other movies, you might find more inspiration. About the roof issue, did you try the custom wall tool (the one with the spheres)? That helped me fix my indoor roof issues. Anyways, this build is amazing, you're so talented.

Oh I feel you sis. This is quite a small castle tbh. I also haven't intended it to be that usabel as it turned out. Then it hit me we can use the portals for the sims to get inside and then I suddenly had to come up with an interior layout and furnishing. haha. It didn#t take as long since I only used base game and RoM. So I didn't have to think so much about what furniture to put in there.

oh my gosh. this is AMAZING. my only problem was the... potion table? i use A LOT of clutter, but i HATE when i don't have enough variety in my objects. i refuse to use the same object too many times. i've even sized down potion bottles JUST to give variety. anyways, i just suggest perhaps not using the same items over and over to decorate? idk if that's just like your thing or whatever, just know i'm probably gonna download this, and i'm probably gonna gut the inside. XD the exterior looks flippin AMAZING. like, in love.
