Dear friend, the figure that is taking a hold of the Wheel of Time is not Mara… it’s Yama Lord of Death. Please revise your sources of information. 🙏🏻

Hi Friend, before I change my presentation I would love to know your source for this information. I have come across multiple sources, some saying the figure is Mara, some claiming it's Yama. Considering that Yama appears within the mandala, in the hell realm section as ‘judge of the dead’, it doesn’t seem that the zoomorphic figure holding the wheel is also Yama. I also take into consideration that the entire Buddhist narrative of liberation is about defeating Mara, not Yama. So it's doesn’t make sense to me that Yama would be holding the wheel of life.
