Very cool. Keep up the good work. I do card magic and sleight of hand, and with a lot of practice maybe someday I'll be an ameteur magician lol. Your work is inspiring. Thanks for the content.

I saw a slight flash on your coin matrix. Bad angle is all. That’s one of my favorites of yours. I also do a coin matrix but with four cards, and slightly different than your version.

Haaaaah. Been saying that for a while. I think it is good to do a couple good flourishes before a card set to let the spectators know this is not going to be their uncle's basic card trick. What do you think?

Ever catch yourself feeling nervous at these events? Doesn't show.
@MatthewFurman7 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, awesome question. Now we are getting somewhere. I have been performing nonstop for 20 years, in every venue imaginable and for the biggest names in the world. I am usually not nervous. Last year I did a private performance for Justin Timberlake and felt a little nervous. I controlled my breathing, stayed in the moment, and tried my best to appear calm, cool, and collected. You might be nervous on the inside, and sweating, NEVER let it show. The more you perform, the less you will feel nervous. It will never go away completely. That just means you care. If I feel nervous I use a mantra I read about from a very famous old-time magician. Before he went on stage he used to look in the mirror and tell himself, "They are going to love you, they want to love you, allow them to love you. This is true. That is why I create a fun atmosphere and not a challenging environment. The only way to combat nervousness is to face it head on.

Matthew Furman Great message!

Thanks for the advice. I speak in front of large groups and don't feel nervous, but I've noticed performing close up magic is a different ballgame. It seems to take a different mindset. I enjoyed watching your earlier performance videos as well, in front of big name celebrities. I think it's both noteworthy and commendable that you treat the stars exactly the same as you do the average joe on the street. It's a testament to your character and humility. You've touched many lives and to me, that's what magic is all about.

Some great reactions again, you are skilled magician, professional performer, however I think that the way you responed to Chris was in some way imature. If majority of people say that you sound weird, try and see why they say that instead of hating. :/ You are not embarrassment to magic community but I honestly think that you could definitely respond in a much better way...
