If I have a landline phone with cable and I port over a trial number to try. If i like the Magic Jack Go, Can I later port over my number from that I have from cable?

Laura K yes, you should be able to but will most likely have to pay a $10 fee. You would do so online, under your account phone numbers section, by adding a new number.

Have you had problems with your Magic Jack Go over heating?

Laura K yes. But only when not directly plugged into a wall outlet. If I use a power strip or extension cord it overheats quickly. But if I plug directly to the wall outlet it works perfectly.

MrReviewer I went and purchased Magic Jack Go yesterday from Wal-Mart. The set up was rather simple. Can you tell me how i can use the fax with this device? The dial tone clear...so far so good. Haven't had it long enough but I hope it will be a reliable home phone. Thanks for your video.

Yep. It works well with fax's. It's actually the only VoIP phone I've tested that works with faxs. All you have to do is plug the phone line into the printer/fax machine. That's it. :) When the fax dials out it'll just dial using the majic jack. Your fax number will be your majic jack number. To receive fax's you'll need to set your fax machine to pick up after so many rings, or... If you want to use it as a home phone with just a fax option and have an answering machine, you'd just use a splitter (if your machine doesn't have a line in and line out) and hook both the machine and phone to the majic jack but set the fax machine not to pick up automatically. That way you can use your phone as normal but also send and receive a fax when needed.

Unless you choose headset on the menu, then the ring is in your earphones.

Dude, you have too many sensitive data laying around that's on camera for the world to see. You showed phone numbers addresses bills account numbers etc. Please do better in reviewing your vids for sensitive data before uploading. You're putting your identity or others at risk on the internet for billions of people to see...

The PII shown in the video is harmless and for accounts that are closed. If someone wants to try anything with the very little info shown in the video I actually invite them to try. They would need more info to get anywhere, as phone numbers and addresses are public info listed in any phonebook or visible to the public on all my social media accounts. Most companies require you give a pin or social security numbers, none of which is shown in the video. And I monitor all accounts everyday. So, while I appriciate the warning, I'm not worried if the world knows about a dead card or my address.

I don't know but does this guy has a social life at all? having to call yourself because there's no one to talk to... Goofy and soo gay (I mean happy) Just the same song..
