Science/health science has advanced so much, that they're able to derive enough information from just a swab of the cheek in order to see and detect the signs of the HIV virus, as opposed to years ago when they needed a straight blood sample when health science wasn't as advanced and in depth as it is now, and they needed the blood because it was a DIRECT source of where the disease/virus is most prevalent. NOW they're able to evaluate samples enough and delve into a swab sample enough to grab the SAME amount of data, if not even more, that they used to with blood samples.. Hahahaha, that's the best answer I got, and also my BEST attempt at an actual intelligent, somewhat well informed answer that I got! So please forgive any of my poor vocabulary when describing it, as well as my lack of direct, ACTUALLY detailed knowledge.
