Magic Mouse (USB-C) VS Magic Mouse 2! (Comparison) (Review)

My Magic Mouse (USB‑C) - White has black feet and it was made in Vietnam. The Magic Mouse in this video has white feet and was assembled in China. Also, apparently the new model doesn't work with Macs unless they run the latest macOS. This suggests Apple changed the firmware and sensors inside in some way.

I would like to know if there is any difference between these two using them on a ipad. On ipad, the magic mouse 2 i know it does not have many gestures, just the scrolling.
