Great figure! I absolutely love mine! Those tabs are called dovetail tabs. And it seems you forgot the little flaps for the tail lights in tank mode.

When you think about it: Aren't all combiners technically partsforming? In the g1 cartoon, Megatron himself partsforms. As long as everything fits together securely, Partsforming is valid!
