Though similar, this is not how Karl Fulves describes "Gemini Twins". No cards are selected in his original version. Spectator shuffles, performer looks to the deck, ostensibly for 'special' cards -- but actually cards that match the top and bottom card in color and rank. Spectator deals till she wishes to stop, the card matching the bottom card is placed face up on the pile, the rest dropped on top. Repeat with other card. Cut, spread, remove face-up card with their 'twins'. You're ignoring the reason the trick is named 'Gemini Twins' in all of your versions, regardless if they maybe 'better' tricks.

Hi David, The packet trick where you show 4 cards as twins (2 black kings and 2 black queens of the same suit) then a red Queen shows up instead of the black Queen then the return of the black Queen and third surprise for the ending (the Kings and Queens are gone) , is also called The Gemini Twins but by Brother John Hamman. Just to avoid confusion. :-) Both great tricks.

Brother Hammans trick is called "Twins", NOT "Gemini Twins". I uses the "Gemini count", thereby leading to this common conflation.

Not to be that guy but there is a much better version of this trick where u make a prediction in the beginning of the trick and u ask the 2 people that selected cards to name a number and u put the selected cards at those position of the number they named inside the pack and after u find the to cards they selected with your key cards u add the 2 numbers the spectators said together and u will find the prediction card u made at the beginning in that exact spot. Way better than this tricked.
