Channel blows out several of these cards honestly. If you could play 4 Channel in a deck you would have a much more degenerate deck than a deckwith 4 Life of the Loam. There's a reason its restricted in Vintage and banned in Legacy.

No offense to the guys who do it now, but the show's quality has gone waaaaaaay down. It's not the people, it's the presentation of it all. I think doing it live is a very bad idea if you're not going to fix things in post for the KZbin audience. I mean come on, this was five years ago and is 10 times better in terms of video quality.

Old school players have a hard time remembering that green may actually be the second best colour in magic currently, its all because green was a comparatively awful colour till very recently

It's easy to overlook Green, since for years Magic only had four colors. R&D had no idea what to do with green. Thankfully, they finally pulled their heads out.

the best green card is Channel without a doubt. I think it makes green right there with black or possibly more powerful.

It makes me extremely angry when LSV says Goyf is a blue card. It is the MOST Golgariest card ever. If Goyf was not green, it'd be either black or GB. Blue uses it because it's broken, and blue synergizes well with broken cards.

Guillermo Pazos Goyf isn't broken without blue, however. Without blue, Goyf is an okay dork. He's terrible in aggro strategies. Oath is, like Goyf, technically green, but is always used by non-green decks. Oh, and defeats everything green stands for, which is creatures. Every color is balanced in some way, per format. All colors are made better with blue. All cards are made broken because of blue. Fast mana is always abused most with blue. Real Magic players who want to be taken seriously eventually learn how to play with blue.

Jason Colbeck Goyf can be just as broken with black. It is obviously a dual-colour creature shapeshifted as a mono-green. And it is obviously Golgari for it's effects, regardless of how well it plays on blue strategies. Same as fast mana with blue. Blue strategies usually depend on mana. Every other color have similar strategies. Blue is a huge deal, yes, I and every deck I have except for Ghave agree. But it isn't the game and I've never seen a Simic card that strategizes on graveyard condition. So Goyf can't be blue. It can be Sultai tho, that is for sure. Anyhow, all broken cards are cool and all, but black disagrees with your "blue" theory.

Let me explain this list to everyone. This list is not an example of how green is good but merely what cards are worth splashing green for. Tell me what decks in vintage or legacy run a mostly green deck. Lets be honest if you want a good deck you run a blue or black deck splashing some of the other three colors. Or just a blue and black deck.

Some of the commenst below have some sort of misunderstanding of how this list works. It's the best green of ALL TIME, not just in standard. Birds of paradise is a good card, but easily burned, murdered, or mental misstepped, and is not at all the best ramp in Legacy. Fastbond does Birds' job much better and Oath of Druids could get you a turn three Emrakul, Iona, Blightsteel, etc.

Green is the third strongest colour in Magic, Even without looking at all the overpowered Green cards like Oath of Druids Green has the best pump spells, good Creatures, the best ramp and fine card draw alittle expensive but it is fine Green and Black are proberly the two most versatille colours in Magic. But blue is the strongest without any question
