It's my pleasure - I love the Italian songs so much, and I'm not joking at all that they were a big reason why I wanted to learn Italian haha. (Though it's been many years since I took Italian classes, and now I've forgotten mostly all of it... I did this translation about ten years ago when it was all fresher in my mind.) I remember translating Ma che magie Doremi too, but it seems I've lost that file over the years... 🥲

This song was part of my childhood too. It's so iconic that when I decided to watch Doremi again I could still remember all of it. Just one little note - at 1:18, I believe translating "scala" to "scale" is wrong, a better translation would be "ladder" or "stairs".

@chrg721 : the one that you mean is the one that is part of a building, while this is the music scale, and even if in italian are the same word, they have ofc, two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT meanings !!! .

I can totally see how you could have taken it literally, given that "scala" doubles as something else that can be climbed in Italian! A lot of English musical terminology stems from Italian (or, going further back, from Latin), so the musical context might just be a little more obvious to a native English speaker lol. For what it's worth, I had this translation checked by my good friend Daniela, who is Italian, and after some small corrections she gave me the go-ahead that it was accurate! I would have had very little confidence in the translation otherwise haha.
