My suggestions: Run Apostle's Blessing mainboard as a way to save your creatures from removal, replace Shriekhorn with Expedition Map as a way to fetch your Treasure Vaults or Urza's Legacys, whilst giving instant speed buffing to Slag Fiend, AND being repeatable land drops with Emry.

Wow this is the first time I’ve seen anyone play slag fiend (aside from myself). If you’re looking for a replacement for shriekhorn I’d suggest arcbound ravager, it gets artifacts in the grave for slag fiend and lets you turn dead artifacts into power.

It making a treasure so you can immediately play a bolt or something else you stole after isn't great either and it would have been good without it(just change it so you can pay type of mana to cast cards exiled with it instead).

I remember seeing a deck years ago on MTGO that used Slag Fiend and Salvage Titan in a sacrifice base artifact aggro list that reminded me of the shadow decks running around at the time. I thought the deck was sweet at the time but I didn't think it had enough pieces to really take off. Now with these new MH2 pieces I think it could finally take off the ground.

The first rare I ever received was a slag fiend from a dollar store 100 bulk pack when I was just starting magic, it's been in a dozen decks but currently is without a home. Because of this video I shall be slotting it in somewhere, thanks for the nostalgia and great content!

Just proof that these people are only picking up the "strong" decks without knowing how to pilot them or even understanding the game they're playing. They just want to play solitaire for some free wins and anything that makes them think tends to make them falter. I died laughing when he spent 3 mana, 4 life, and 2 cards in hand to... "destroy" one opposing land.

I think this is the video of yours I laughed at the most. My favorite part was when the Tron playerr got got by Slag Fiend twice in the same turn, first by not noticing the interaction with your land, then by not knowing how state-based actions worked with Walking Ballista. My first modern deck was a tempered steel affinity deck with slag fiend and 4 vandalblast in the sideboard because one of my friends also played an affinity deck. I traded a life counter wheel with Jace on it for my first Arcbound Ravager, which at the time I didn't realize was an expensive card. Good times.
