I have always admired the close relationship you have Judy with your family.. I lost my Mom June 14th to cancer. I cannot imagine life without her. I took my 2 1/2 yr. old Niece to Disneyland last year.... I assume Mickey was being played by a girl that day because she went over and hugged him, then ran away crying and screaming, "Mickey has boobs! Mickey has boobs!" Too funny.

This proves to me that chidren really don't care about Disney that much. And day at the park or the beach would have been just as much fun. edit: I didn't refer to Miya crying in the beginning, that's just a moody 2-year old who just woke up, but more how it's such a hassle to get there. Not sure if children even like that.

They won't remember much for sure. But considering how much Disney movies they watch and Disney toys they play with, I think it's cute for them to see the actual characters in person and their reactions haha. But yeah, I think the children would find entertainment in anything either way.

Actually to be honest if you have ever taken a child to Disneyland specially around their age... The stress and hassle you go thru melts away once you see the reaction on their faces when they see their favorite characters and when they see all the decors and props on the rides... I mean im not a mom but i have taken my nieces and nephews to Disneyland, and although they may not remember the day clearly or as good as we adults could, they do remember some of it, and they do actually enjoy the park just as much as we do...

***** I wasn't even talking about what they remember, but to me that afternoon with the kite at the farmers' market of a few days ago seemed much more fun for little children. But then, maybe I'm biased, because I don't really like Disney that much. It's such a shame that children only associate classic fairly tales with Disney's interpretation. But that's ust a matter of personal taste of course. I'm sure they all had a great day in the end.
