Thx for this! I have an autistic 8 year old cousin and he’s in a fase where he loves the door hinges and I promised him I would build a model door so he could play with 🤩💖

Thank you so much!!! All I needed to know was how to make my own hinges- now I can move forward with my costume project. It’s a really ambitious mask mechanism that I’m hoping will turn out well, and I think these hinges are going to be my ticket to success here. I’ll update with a comment if it goes well, fingers crossed.

The best DIY hinge on YT! Ive been holding off on purchasing small metal hinges for a project. I've tried making a few out of nails and they came out like a beating 😂! It was a waste of nails. As I watched your video other ideas popped in my head. Example instead of rolling up paper for the inside part, I could use a Q-tip. It may work for a size of hinge that I need. Thank you for sharing and helping us!! Good day! 😎

Oh yeah, I’m sure the q-tip idea will work! Glad to be of help :)

Just wanted to spitball here, I've been testing and watching videos like this to construct multiple cardboard things. I've learned to best harden or strengthen it, use diluted wood glue(white works too), you can use paint too, and obviously you want to do each working peice separately. I will say be mindful, adding a layer of glue then paint will make it thicker. I'm gonna try it myself with just glue. Might try it with straws like someone else said in the comment section, since they'd be a dollar at Dollar Tree for like a 100 that'd last awhile.
