The manifesting box is beautiful! I started my Depth Year, aka The Great Crafting Destash almost 2 years ago, and I think I have another 2-3 years to go. Along with using up everything I have, I also sort through it all at the end of the year and donate what has been sitting around for too long. When I started I have crafty supplies stored in five of the seven rooms of my house; now that is down to only two rooms. Thank you for all your past and future videos.

I felt very intoxicated, in a bad way, by all the consumerism of Christmas time. I wrote a letter to myself for next year, where I clarified my *true* intentions for this time next year. I am absolutely feeling the energy of the depth year. Let’s break out of the consumerism trap, get back to basics and what’s really real.

I can relate to everything you said about buying supplies and not using them. That said, I'm not doing a strict no buy year but I am going to do a narrow my focus year. I'm very dog sees squirrel in my practice shooting off in a million different directions of things that interest me. Yes it's fun to learn new things but I feel like I'm accomplishing nothing by being so scattered. So I've chosen a few routines/practices that I'm committed to for AT LEAST six months and then after that I'll re-evaluate and see if I want to add new things. Looking forward to the new content you have in store!

What a lovely box! I do feel you when you say that you bring in the necessary supplies for new projects, yet somehow you don't get around to them. Very familiar! Have you considered adding small mirrors to your box? These magnify your intentions into infinity if you place them on both sides... Good luck with your manifestation box.

Yes! I am trying to focus on a no buy year….it is taking a bit of adjustment I must say but will be well worth it if I succeed! Will be putting together a Manifestation Box or maybe a Bag…I’ve been slow stitching and this has given me a great idea for a purpose for the projects I complete…thank you! I think there is an underlying energy of depth living because I have chosen to try this coupled with a low buy only buying what I actually need. Many of my friends and other youtubers seem to be doing this. Probably a reaction to the economic squeeze many of us are facing. I have loved watching your oil and candles but I am excited about your new plans.

Wow we have a lot of rename types of plans for 2024! I am making a manifestation box too and had hoped to have made it and have the video uploaded already but iv been so sick and in the ER. I did a depth year several years ago and am doing it again this year too. I’m really needing to save money and am doing a low spend year too. I need to clean and organize my witchy and crafty supplies and use what I already have. Very cool we are on the same wave lengths with these!

Now I know what I'm supposed to do with a box I've been hanging onto for a couple of months😁😁😁 As you were describing your habit of collecting art supplies for projects that seem to go on the back burner indefinitely, I had to giggle out loud because that's the case for so many of us. I just organized my art supply collection over the weekend. Rather than beat myself up I said, "The time for project A, B, or C hasn't arrived yet -- I'll know when it's ready to be made." Like my "pretty good box" now wanting to become a manifestation box 😃✨🪄 So excited for the upcoming content you described for this year. i certainly know what you mean about craft supplies ;) these days i usually stop myself just before loading up on all the supplies, but not always. I love crochet and find it inherently witchy because its all knotwork essentially. Your voice is so relaxing, i love your craft and chat videos!

Wonderful video. Last year was a low buy year for me on hobby/craft supplies. It was a push to help save money. My husband did the same thing and instead of 3 more years to pay off our Mortgage we paid it off at Christmas 2023. It was such a great christmas pressent to ourselves. This year I am continuing my habit but only buying what i really need for the hobbies I'm working on which are minifigure painting (I have many paints to use up and mini figures - D&D - to paint), Tapestry making (weaving a large wall tapestry - I should have everything I need), and x-stitching (have kits so have everything I need). my Goal is to have a good amount to save so I can actually go to the hairdresser this year and get my hair dyed and cut (haven't been in 4 years - so it's a big thing for me) this is part of my self love to myself. I have been neglecting myself and letting myself go. So intending to have my colours done, get a new hairstyle and learn how to dress to suit my body shape. my words for the year is SLOW DOWN: I tend to rush things and do things quickly and as a result, things are less than at a standard that I wished they would be.

My best friend and I have been a sounding board for each other's New Year's Resolutions since the 1980's. Each of us have had our "word of the year" for at least 15 years. Some years are more successful than others. 🙄 It was fun listening to this video. A few of the other commenters have said that they were thinking the same as you. Yeah me too. Project purgatory! It's where great ideas go to die, or at least collect dust for years. I have determined, watching the video for the thing, buying/collecting all the stuff to make the thing, and actually making the thing are three totally separate hobbies 😂 If you have supplies you really don't need/want, there are many options of where to gift them, like shelters, schools, daycares, etc. ❤

Dear Amy -- Your wonderful video inspired me to aspire to a low-buy & Depth Year, too. I have accumulated most of the craft materials I will be needing for projects, and I'm determined to complete many of the projects I already have, such as a needlepoint and a few others. I found your channel a few months ago and was intrigued by your videos on making a witch's besom and a corn husk dolly -- it was so much fun to go out to nature to get my materials and to complete them, and I've also made a magic wand and just finished your manifestation box.
