I have stayed here multiple times. When we've used points it can be worth it to stay there, but without points once you figure in resort fees it's often cheaper to stay at a Disney Value Resort instead. Transportation can also be a challenge. We have gotten stranded a few times after staying late at the parks and have had to take a bus to Disney Springs and walk back to the hotel. They don't have bus service after MNSSHP or special after hours events. We learned that the hard way Plus, their bus pick ups are usually the farthest away at the stops, often poorly marked, and in full sun with no shade ( they don't come nearly as often as regular Disney buses). We still love it here, but some things to keep in mind if people want to stay here.

Very similar to what I said, but I’m glad to hear a real world experience. Thank you so much for sharing it. It will definitely help others when deciding to book!

Thank you for this comment! We were looking at booking here for a quick weekend trip to do Festival of the Holidays and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party. Don't wanna take a chance and get stranded. This insight was SO helpful, thank you!!!

So happy you were refunded for the wifi. Great job letting others know of the blackout. We stayed at the Hilton Orlando Bueno Vista Disney Springs for my husband's UAW convention. So not impressed for many very MANY reasons. The president of his local had recently purchased items that were stolen from her room.(Back when there was housekeeping) The pick-up for the bus at Disney was in an uncovered parking lot. We waited forever in the intense sun before my kids and I decided to find Disney transportation to Disney Springs and walk back ourselves.So thankful I was still able to make such a walk

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and it's always been great. We had a complimentary breakfast buffet on that top floor- I believe that was from our Hilton Honors status. Continental breakfast but still great to have that right there. Also,that Main Street grab and go shop is outstanding. You can't beat the hotel location for Disney Springs- Literally right over the crosswalk bridge. It's been a couple of years but I think the Disney Springs bus station was also right over that crosswalk so you have access to those shuttles as well. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for sharing this! Actually the Disney Buses are in the center of Disney Springs, but still not a terribly long walk!

23:33 it looks like that's where the mini fridge used to be. That hotel looks like it could use a refurbishment. A lot of it is looking dated. In your bathroom you can see where they half-assed the touch up paint on the wall after patching up some holes.
@MagicalHijinx Жыл бұрын

@@MagicalHijinx Also the exterior facade looks like the before picture of a Lexus dealership by me that was recently remodeled. If you’re going to stay at a Hilton in Disney World, it looks like the Bonnet Creek one is the better bet.

They should post the power outage like other resorts (as you showed in your example), in case the front desk forgets. Good point about important medical devices!

Thanks for the review…and glad you mentioned the power outage was not the fault of the hotel because you seemed to imply it was, and that wouldn’t have been good in their part. My quibble with your review is the complaint about having 11 or 13 outlets…lol How many items are you plugging in at once…lol Thankfully we only need two outlets for our phones. Again…thank you for reviewing this place, as we’re heading down to stay there soon.
@MagicalHijinx9 ай бұрын
My outlet standard is 4 outlets per person and 4 people can stay in that room. It also helps show if a room needs refurbishing. Most people charge my phone, magic band, portable battery. Then if you have anything extra like headphones, laptop, cpap machine, cameras, smart watch, tablets for kids. It adds up!

OK, I have to say this, THANK YOU for the info about the power surges! I mean, that's a big deal for people with C-Pap and Bi-Pap machines to sleep, and let's not forget the people with ECV's charging while they sleep. I'll always check ahead and ask now, because that could be a big deal to a member or two of our family. Thanks @MagicalHijinx for that info!

Thank you! It really is a big deal especially for people with medical equipment and idk why some people don’t realize that.

Enjoyed your report. Could you report from now on if transportation by hotel bus is available for people who use scooters or wheelchairs? Also I noticed at the Hilton that they had seats to help handicapped people get in and out of the pool. That is also something I am interested in. How many rooms in the hotel have rolls in showers?
@MagicalHijinx2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure, I would definitely call the hotel to see and I’ll definitely keep this in mind for future tours!
@lindsaya77332 жыл бұрын
I laughed at ‘desk cutting board’, but that is exactly what I would call it. I have a pull out cutting board in my kitchen from the 60’s. Is that even a thing in kitchens these days? I feel like the vibe of hotel in general is geared to business people at conferences. The power outage is the weirdest thing! It’s nice that the hotel made good for your lost hours at least. It seems so strange though, is that a thing that areas of the country do? I’ve never encountered that! I do have medical electrical needs, so it is really good to know.
@MagicalHijinx2 жыл бұрын
I have spoke to a lot of people now since posting this and it seems a lot of hotels in this area forget to inform people about this. I would definitely make sure before checking into any hotel in this area to check about outages, especially if you’re staying at a property where you do mobile check in.

Very 🆒 hotel video tour Demi I like that small quick service place that sells Starbucks coffee Benihana to nice. I know what it's like to have electricity go out Demi the area where I live in the world in south east Asia out in the country side I can lose electricity at anytime during the day or night which can last anywhere from a minute to a few hours to a whole day so yeah I'm kind of used to that happening to me but yeah the front desk should have told you that before you checked in or at least put a small letter under your door to your room about the black out and I don't know about transportation there seems like your better off driving your own car to get where you want to go anyway Demi excellent job with this video 🆒👍😎

99% of people are sleeping during the scheduled outage times. The complaint just seems a little nit picky. It was nice that the comped the fees for you, and they def should have given you notice. All and all, I’m looking forward to my stay here. It’s a place to sleep, so I don’t mind it being dated. We’re also not having a Disney exclusive vacation. Only 2 of our 6 days will be spent in parks.
