Laura, I don't know you know this or not, but I heard you say that you punch 'was losing its touch" and wasn't as sharp as it once was. Here's a tip to help... to sharpen any punch, take a sheet Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil. Fold it in half and then in half again (You need it to fit your punch - size and thickness - so you may even need to fold it a third time.) Punch through the folded Foil 3+ times. This should "sharpen" your punch. To "lubricate" a punch, do the same thing as you did with the foil, with Wax Paper (it has to be WAX paper, not parchment or the like). Hope these tips help you and your punch. Thank you.
