I love all the reasoning you share in the draft. It totally makes your channel worth it. Thank you!

I appreciate you! Glad to hear the reasoning is helpful.

WOE was the first set I ever drafted, so great memories of it. The judge a my LGS ruled that you don't control the cursed role token attached to an opponent's creature, so you can't bargain it but your opponent could. It led to a strange meta of cursing you own creature to bargain later.

Thanks for a great video! My play group did a WOE draft this past weekend and I won with a dimir control deck (splashing red and neva). Between hatching plans, stopgap and fae court, the card draw is so good that I was almost always able to find the right cards at the right time.

Nice deck, and nice secret tech. I haven’t gotten a chance to play Quick Draft on WOE, but this vid inspired me to do so. At 41:01, I think it’s better to sacrifice spreading seas instead of the 1/1 flying token. That token may have won you the game there. Nice vid as always!

excited to see your take on chromatic cube

this was great to see. I've also been doing well using only blue control/value decks but it is interesting to see your quick study/counter approach. I did the 3-4 color adventure value path that you outlined earlier in the vid with a focus on removal and 2 for 1 cards but was always light on counters. I prioritized bargain and hatching plans but what I really loved about your deck and learned from this draft was basically all of your permanents created bargain fodder. I need to prioritize taking red treasure goblin higher. thanks for the vid

This is really interesting! My favourite decks in this format were also control, but I mostly play Boros and Orzhov control, I think they're over looked, especially with how late the bots pass Eriette's Whisper and Archon's Glory

Although I consider myself an average drafter, usually making a 5-3 or 6-3 records, in wilds of eldraine my records are awful. I like your content and I learned a lot from you and Nummy. Keep up the great content!

My strategy in WOE quickdraft personally has been to open Gruff Triplets (got it in 3 out of 4 dradts). It's worked well so far 😆
@haumphКүн бұрын
That’s a fine strategy haha

This was super exciting to watch. Loved the 'watch my special trick guys, I force blue control.' - Proceeds to open only few blue control cards this time. Classic isn't it, yet well played sir!
@haumphКүн бұрын
Yeah it was unfortunate :(

@@haumphI was not being sarcastic here though. I really think this made your vid especially relatable and also exciting. Was rooting really hard for you lol

Loving all the Eldraine! Such a fun format. I got to pop off with some Dimir control as well, the bargain feels so sweet. And so excited for OTJ!
@haumphКүн бұрын
Dimir control is always a solid choice!

Didn't get to play this set when it was released but I hit quick draft last night and swept a smooth 7-0 with gw roles. Learned a lot card evaluation in the past few months of vids :D

Hi Paul, always enjoy your content, and have become a much better drafter because of it! Can reliably hit platinum now, chipping away.
@haumphКүн бұрын
That's fantastic to hear. Next stop: Diamond!

nice, youre almost back in the top 100. OTJ gonna be interesting.

My pet archetype in WOE was heavy blue tempo, usually with a bit of white for clique and other interaction, tap em down, curse them, counter them and fly over. Blue was always open

My secret tech for WOE quick draft was forcing 5color good stuff with prisms and brave the wilds as the core.. Worked out A LOT of the time before but now the bots seem to be calibrated to pick them higher..
@Journeyman2585Күн бұрын
Threadbind Clique was probably my most drafted card for WOE. I drafted blue so much.

These WOE drafts are a blast!

Same for me too, i've realized that the bots tend on passing lot of good blue cards very late! they are like free picks on the wheel most of times.

The saga which lets you copy spells with the three mana draw spells in black and blue is really strong, tempo turn two scry turn three draw four turn four or five. I trophied with a sultai build using the green ramp spell which makes tokens and foods and the seven mana 6/6 which gains life.

my fav is ub fairies w white splash. quite similar, just 2-3snaresprites and burro nattys w curiosity, 1-2 counter and cauldron, nomnomnom

Oh hey UX Control is how ive been winning too! 7-2 7-2 in my last two drafts!

Agree with the approach! I reached rank 1 drafting URx control. The best blue cards are middling picks by the bots and Johann goes very late.
@haumphКүн бұрын
for sure. counterspells and card draw spells are massively undervalued
@jbenhaim5751Күн бұрын
Sad to see you bargain away your faerie token instead of Spreading Seas near the end of Game 2 against that grindy GW deck. You may have been able to win in the air!

True that. Can’t believe I ran outta gas!

I’ve had such a TERRIBLE time drafting WOE. Like really bad. Hopefully I can learn something because I’m about ready to give up on drafting altogether…
