At 28:01, you can attack all, they block your rotpriest and the token or whatever, 2 poison will go through, after blockers you bounce your rotpriest so it doesn't die. That proliferates for 1, but also 2 poison from rotpriest is 5 so they're dead.

At 18:40, you could use skrelv and the aspirant to give the double striker 3 instances of toxic 1 dealing 6 poison.

I found that games with poison decks are imbalanced one way or the other. You either never didn’t have it or vice versa.

@ I would agree that is the case for Bo1 (I cannot remember the last time I lost a match because my opponent did something clever and outplayed me in Bo1 rather than simply being dealt a no-win situation) but it’s far more significant with poison than most archetypes I think in Bo3 where perhaps because the decks adjust for a more balanced matchup, decisions are far more impactful. Poison has a very fixed strategy that cannot really adapt. It does its thing fast like mono red aggro or not at all.

@@Dragon_Fyre It's also because Bo1 punishes mulligans much harder and play or draw coinflip. In Bo3 you get to adjust and know what you're mulliganing against, etc. It's a ton of reasons. They should probably show your opponent's deck color identity pre-match in Bo1 if they want people to make more informed mulligan decisions.

I've adopted the line of immediately forfeiting as soon as I see a turn 1 "poison", "heist", or mono red card, as I personally feel those decks are absolutely no fun to play against. My arena experience is much less frustrating and I still hit Mythic very easily each season

54:33 You being dead on stack here to the Starscape Cleric is exactly why I like the Raise the Past deck. You get the right combo of creatures in the yard and you can eat away 20 life from an opponent on turn 4 easily.

I feel like this strategy skyrocketed in usefulness after the Leyline ban. Looks like this aggro version is better than the combo version I'm using, but I don't have the rare lands to make tri-color aggro work.
