I tried to pause at 3:44 where he vanish the cards, so i can catch any small detail of how he did it. I swear even with the power of pause, the cards just vanish out of his hands...

This may or may not help, i'm not sure. This video is running @ 25 frames per second, which is typical for european VOD content. NBC broadcasts @ 60 fps, so you may want to try getting a copy of the AGT episode thats captured *and* encoded at 60fps. You might find what you're looking for, but I don't know. I'm not any kind of magician or aspiring to be one, just want to put it out there as a possibility.

Hey champ; nice intro. I'm glad you put your own "stamp" to make it your own and showcased your skills. It was my first time seeing (your skills) and you have that same charisma, flair, talent, and entertaining values that a lot of popular magicians have as well. Continue to be humble and keep plugging away. Your time to shine will come too. Mad love from Canada.

nice vid as usual. yes, Shin said they cut and edited his act, as well as the music. AGT sucks with that, yet i saw other acts during same audition faze that they let go on longer for some reason. go figure! anyway, Shin Lim is on to the live rounds, hopefully he'll win this thing.

i said before and i will say again.. if you pause precisely at 3:45 you can see him put the cards face down on the mat which is magnet along with the cards perform and the cards used to perform all have black color on back side. it's impressive the first time you see this but you can see if you pause on every trick.

Lol...I used to think learning to shuffle, without a wad of cards falling at once, was a big accomplishment....and that reverse shuffle? Pure sorcery..hahaha. Then I see your little shuffle at the beginning and Shin Lims “Asian shuffle” ahem...I’m motivated! Wadless shuffle....here I come! 😂😂

Great vid as usual ...for anyone interested shin confirmed that he did half his routine here and even then it was heavily edited by AGT which is why the music was off. Shin hates the edit.
@ivanpoe23306 жыл бұрын
I only watch these talent shows here, they seem to be all about the judges and massaging their egos. There did appear to be some cuts in Shin's performance. If they give you a time limit its pretty disrespectful to the artist to do that.
@larrygorsky61046 жыл бұрын
yes, especially if the artists don't know they are gonna edit them.

It is really nice to see cards being discussed once again after decades. Besides the magic, the games a deck of card offers is unlimited. I and friend tend to play cards once or twice a year during festivals. I have a question for professionals: is there a reason that often the brand used is Bicycle, e.g. sponsorship, budget related, etc. ? Also, which other brands are recommended for low, medium or high end budget ? Thank You.
@GoethesSpucke6 жыл бұрын
They did a lot of editing. Shin Lim already complained aout that. Which is reasonable, because his whole act bases on adapting the Music note by note to his moves. Still an amazing Trick. Whatever love your vids as well. Have nive Holidays. Stay lit and we see as in the next one. :-)

I love Shin. I'm by no means a magician even though I've studied off and on some of the techniques of close up and big stage magic. Bit stage sets don't impress me as up close stuff like cards and coins. When it comes to Shin Lim though? I'm always amazed.. Those long finger piano playing fingers do stuff that are amazing, always.

1) that snap change was nutty 2) your video quality is gettin up there with that greenscreen or what ever (rip light tho) 3) somethin about it was kinda off, he wasnt as synced with the music as i remember. Im positive agt changed at least something (or maybe his talking threw me off idk), he still amazing, i hope the show doesnt hurt is act much.

Idiot Yep, Shin said in his KZbin video that they cut the act and shuffeled the music in to random places and he hated it, that it was totally wrong. I hope they would stop doing that, stop thinking that their way is better that the artists. Shin had allready cut the act shorter and they shortened it still, that was what I understood, sad!
