Ciphering stolen identity at the end on the woodlot crawler made me so happy that combos like that can come out in this format :D

Dragons Maze is my favourite set!
@snowblazer1211 жыл бұрын
combos like that are easier to pull off in limited play. because high cost cards like stolen identity are actually playable compared to standard and because its a 40 card deck it makes the combo easy to put together.

Max Sjoblom vs Andre Muller, Game 3 was nice to watch. I love Dimir.

I always played like that for years, everybody used to back in the day. I recently switched to creatures etc in front of lands since I got back into playing in deference to the new school.
@zevenBeast11 жыл бұрын
In the early days of MTG that is how many players were taught to set up the field. It took me a while to get used to playing my lands on the bottom and I play with friends who never made the switch.

No because not only was it how they were taught for a long time this was the standard it was not switched until later in mtg

as a newish player i really wish they would enlarge the cards more often so we can see what creatures do etc..

These games are in limited format, i.e. using cards pulled from booster packs. Shock lands are actually not played all that often in this format, because they are "rare" cards, and most players simply don't come across them during the draft.
@Jarrheadd0011 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. At my prerelease, I went Golgari/Dimir. The Dimir was amazing for counters and removal, as well as Deathcult Rogue.

i love seeing a dimir deck put in work
@DCsk8rgoelz11 жыл бұрын
thats why he is doing it. even if it isnt a significant advantage, it is still just enough of an irritation/confusion that it can make the opponent play something badly or miss something on the board.
@7mean7bunny710 жыл бұрын
I am a huge fan of LSV but I agree that the lands in front thing is more PV's thing. I'm glad he chose to go back to the old way in the Theros PT.

These videos used to be a great place to learn about to cards and the sets, with more card images. Now it feels somewhat esoteric.

i think that people have a problem looking at the format as guilds, and then disrespect dimir. dimir contains blue and black, and their combination can be devastating, especially in a slower format, such as limited. at my prerelease, no one picked dimir, so i took one looking at getting removal, evasion and shenanigans. ended up top 8, cause it can adapt very quickly to any kind of threat. its not dimir, its a strong BU control :D
@RichterVonFuchs11 жыл бұрын
it's from olden days, almost everyone used to do that. There's no rule against it, it doesn't matter how they do it as long as they don't purposely try to obscure cards.
@elliemay17486 жыл бұрын
Hello from the future. There is a rule against this now :)
@Emperorerror11 жыл бұрын
Well it means that opponents won't remember which cards you just drew etc, and allows you to keep seeing all your cards and therefore keep them in mind, and then you just get in the habit.
@deadeye139211 жыл бұрын
I don't do that but it doesn't bother me. Ive even seen a few that play with them on the side in a column lol

I see that BDM follows the simic combine just like me.... only thing is i dont know if you also collaberates with a few izzet mages because that does get my favorite tricolor kinda decks going of RUG. the way i see it is both are furthering their knowledge which is goes along with both of their guilds goals. just in a roundabout way.

Hm, i don't know. They can mix it up, but the it has to be clear. Gamestate has to be trackable and if you think your opponent is trying to trick you into something i'd instantly call a judge.
