Magicycle Cruiser 52V Electric Bicycle | Unboxing and Assembly

Our friends at Magicycle asked us to review one of the most popular electric bicycles on the planet, the Magicycle 52V Cruiser Step-Thru. With a 750 Watt motor, 52 Volts of power, and 86 Newton meters of torque, it's really an impressive selection at an affordable price.

Magicycle features a powerful 750-Watt electric motor with 86 Nm of maximum torque. Without getting into the crazy math, most electric bicycles range from 40-60 Newton meters of max torque, so at 86 Newton meters, Magicycle definitely packs a punch.
But the battery in a Magicycle is special too. Unlike most other e-bikes that have a 48-Volt battery, Magicycle’s Cruisers feature custom 52-Volt batteries. That means Magicycles average 4 volts higher at any point than a 48v system, which gives you about 10% higher energy and a longer sustained discharge rate than a 48v user. I received my Magicycle step-through this week (March 31, 2022). Yesterday I watched your assembly video from fender to fender. You did SUCH a nice job of explaining how to build the bike. I really enjoyed your thorough and fun-friendly approach. Last night after work I put mine together just using your tips. It went together so smoothly. The only thing I did differently was to remove the front bike light from its bracket in order to attach it and the front fender to the frame. The light was blocking the pathway. Unfortunately, my battery came damaged in shipping. The charging port was pushed inside the housing so I can't charge the battery. I contacted the company last night about that and I'm sure they will make this right. They are very responsive to e-mails. I was still able to take the bike for an initial test run and just love it. I'm an avid biker and ride two very old, but excellent Schwinn bicycles (a one-speed cruiser - their 1995 100th anniversary bike, and a 1981 LeTour Tourist 10-speed). I put on around 700 to 800 miles/year. As I approach my 65th year I'm looking forward to some assist that an e-bike provides! Your video was SO helpful. Thank you. My wife and I will be doing a product review video on our "Under the Median" channel sometime in May on this bike. I will refer them to your video for assembly instructions. Your video on this is the best one out there!

Thanks so much! So sorry to hear about your battery. Ours actually fell out of its cardboard box during shipping but wasn't damaged. They're now aware of this situation. @@FreshandFelicia - Hope and I were so pleased with Magicycle's service. She e-mailed them Friday night (April 1st) about the damaged battery and they had responded by Saturday morning indicating that they were already sending out a replacement. Good service is everything. Very impressed. I still managed to take the bike out for a 10 mile ride yesterday with the remaining charge -- up to the Illinois River overlook drive. I attached my GoPro to the helmet and made a short video which I put on my channel. Love, love, love this bike. It's got power! Reminds me more of an electric motorcycle than a bike. I played for Hope (my wife) a couple of your videos and she really enjoyed them as well. Thank you for the sub! We'll be watching more of your channel. Happy riding.
