Hi There! Great video, as usual! My ears perked up when I heard you say nanometers as the unit of torque. I guess I should have done an "Unboxing and assembly", but I get so many complaints when I do because of it being "Too boring". The assembly is really pretty easy and takes about 45 minutes with the tools that are supplied. You have to attach the handlebars, then put on the front wheel, front fender and headlight and that's about it. The hardest part is cutting up the big box it came in so that you can throw it in the dumpster! There are a lot of videos on exactly what to do, and most of these bikes go together about the same way. I did show in the video how to adjust the rear derailleur and the brakes because you'll need to either do that yourself or have that done at a bike shop. Let me know if I can help.

Elloh Rick, how would the Fiido T1 handle this route? Might need a small mid drive added if it isn't as torky as this Magicycle, did you get a chance to measure to see if one would fit if rotated up into the gap between lower frame tube and the crossbar?
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
I took the Fiido T1 out there a few times and it great, except for the pea gravel part. Like other ebikes I've had out there, it doesn't make it over the steep hills as well as the Magicycle did, but there's always going to be hills like that. I'm waiting for you to do that modification and then tell me about it!
@GorillaZillas2 жыл бұрын
@@gonagain Oh the T1 struggled with the Pea gravel? I wouldn't have expected that with those fat tyres. Was it from lack of power? Or lack of control? Like you mentioned from other bikes that struggled with it. I'm currently in a discussion over Email with Fiido, last message I sent was asking them for a measurement of the Gap between the Lower frame tube and the Crossbar. I'll only be getting one if the gap is big enough to fit a mid Drive conversion of some kind. Crossing my fingers!

I was so glad when your review on this bike popped up. I haven’t been seeing your videos pop up lately. I guess I should have looked for you but I just figured you hadn’t been posting with the winter weather. This is the only e-bike review I have saw you do, but it sounds like you have reviewed several. I trust you and really like seeing your videos. I am way out of shape and pretty heavy. I weigh 234 at this time. Been losing weight but the weight loss sure has slowed down lately. I greatly enjoy photography and am a pretty good wildlife photographer. My knees are both bone spurs on both spurs. I can walk up to about a mile on level ground but hills are very painful for me. I have been searching for an ebike to help me to get to more places to enable me to photograph in more remote places. Currently looking at the Zugu rhino ebike fat bike. Was wandering if you have done a video on that bike or if you could recommend any other bike. With my knees being so bad I don’t think I can pedal much at all. Thanks again for all your videos. I believe I would like something more like a moped style of bike but I don’t know for sure. I am 67 and not near as active as you are. Thanks again. Vern
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
I haven't done a review of the Zugu Rhino, but I just looked at it for you and the first thing that I noticed is that the seat isn't adjustable, and you sit too low to be able to pedal effectively. One ebike similar to the Rhino that I did a favorable review on is the Fiido T1 Cargo that does have an adjustable seat and it also has a large battery on it at 20ah. For trails though, it's really tough to beat a 26"x4" fat tire ebike for comfort. I would suggest a step-through model like the Magicycle I showed in the video because they are just so much easier to get on and off of.

Thanks for another honest review. Company sending the bike fully assembled is great. Too many other bikes require owner to fidget with things and then wonder if they assembled correctly, or design issues, or part may not be of quality. Price very reasonable. Maybe time to sell the small dual sport motorcycle. E bikes are about equal for getting out to remote fishing holes. Usually not far by miles, just bad uphill roads.

Thanks for your input, Clark. An Ebike would work well for getting out to those secret or remote fishing holes.

Hello. I live in the UK would this ebike be ok for my first ebike I also have bad knees. Also this is the best review I've seen on this particular e-bike I'm going to watch it again thank you
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. I can't stand up and pedal and with this ebike, I can go up hills and remain seated while pedalling.

The $1589.00 price is for the "white" step-through Magicycle , which is currently marked down from $1799.00. Your price with the "Gonagain' discount is $1489.00. The Midnight Blue step-through is not on sale but is $1699.00 with the "Gonagain" $100 discount. The Midnight Blue High Bar model is $1489.00 with the discount.

Torque is generally measured in Newton-metres (or meters for you guys) not nano-metres. A nanometer is a measurement mainly of wavelength. That’s one heck of a bike Rick, just over 1hp motor, 87Nm of torque equates to about 64ftlbs, that’s pretty efficient. Very nice looking little package. Still not big enough for me though, 😂😂, 6’6” & 130kgs, 😲😲 Cheers bud.

Thanks, Pilot! Yes, that's a lot to have on an ebike. Done any boomstick activity lately?

None at all Rick, very sad. Currently down with covid, expect to receive the all clear on Friday, happy to be alive. My Cardy freaked out, my local doc dobbed me in. Cardy told me I should've gone immediately to hospital as some of the drugs she has me on apparently diminish my immune system. My next visit down there will be a doozy, 😂, she might be small in statue, but boy oh boy, she isn't one to mess with, 😂. So with me, that's 6/8 in the household through the mill & we have been isolated now for basically months. Coming good though, don't want to put any pressure on, but hopefully back to normal next week. When I'm running on all cylinders (or full battery) next week so I'll be doing more to get the range opened up and operating again. Cheers my friend, all the best to Linda, stay safe.

The main issue/critic reviewers had was the brakes and how dangerously long they took to come to a complete stop. Magicbike took these critics and actually upgraded the brakes… you love to see it The brakes you’ve got are the new upgraded brakes, before it’d take 20+ feet to come to a complete stop
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
That's true, these are the upgraded model and I have no complaints. Magicycle does make a hydraulic brake kit (currently out of stock) that you can upgrade to if you like. I actually don't see the need, but I may do the upgrade just for comparison sake.

Exellent review again. One question, would you buy it if you were looking for an ebike?
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
I would buy this one in a heartbeat. If you asked me to sell you this one, I'd have to say no.
@0556rick2 жыл бұрын
@Gonagain No I dont want to buy yours. I just wanted your opinion if you would buy one. It looks like the one to get.

hello. Thanks for the great test report. I have a few inquiries. I'm Koichiro Nakata from Japan. ①How far can you travel on a single charge? ②No suspension in the back? ③If so, is it possible to purchase from Japan? ④How long does it take to charge the battery? ⑤ If so, can it be used with a Japanese outlet? thank you.

Hello Koichiro, you will have to contact Magicycle with your questions. If you go to their website, they have a chat feature where you can ask them. Sorry I couldn't help you more.
