I put text up on the screen, you must have missed it. It was the battery key flopping against the bike. I realized it and removed it half way thru the video. I could barely hear it with the wind in my ears, but the microphone picks up everything really well. So it sounded worse than it was.

If I were to call a bike an SUV it would fit somewhere between a more basic e-bike and a cargo bike. Its just my view on it. Something that can haul a fair amount while still having a bit better handling than a cargo.

Richard, I started watching "Russ is Right" videos probably a year now. Then I came across your channel a few months ago. I enjoy both of you. Have you ever watched "Tinkering Turtle" channel? He does a lot of repair videos. I also like his channel. I am still looking on getting an ebike sometime. A big problem I have is, am I getting an ebike for the best price. With all their sales I would hate to buy one and a month later find out they lowered the price.

I occasionally watch Tinkering Turtle. As for sales price, if you keep waiting you'll never get one then you miss out. I want to do a video soon, a lot of these companies advertise sales, but the sale rolls over ever y month to a new holiday. So its just always listed as being on sale to get people to buy it. A few have truly put them on sale from time to time. Amazon Prime day coming up and Black Friday are probably the best time to buy.

I'd recommend you just find one you like and go for it. There's always going to be something new or something on sale. You may miss a good deal on a bike you like.

Thank you. There are two trikes I am recommending. I will be making a video soon about the Emojo Bison Pro, but a more budget friendly option is the Lectric XP. I will get that one in a couple of weeks.

I noticed your knees coming up pretty high in the video. Is a low seat height your preference or could you not get the seat high enough?

Good question. I have long legs and my riding preference is not to sit so high. There was room to go higher. I just measured. I would consider bring the seat up to 40" but no more. You need a few inches of seat post to be down in the tube. For trail riding you may want a little more. The website says its good for people that 6' 2", I'm 6' 1".

Dumb question -- but do you consider the Magicycle Deer Mini a good pedaling ebike? In other words, is this bike good for getting heart pumping exercise?

Not a dumb question at all. So, ebikes are built with one of two types of sensors. Cadence or Torque. A Torque sensor is more like riding a traditional bike, you put effort into it and the motor will match your effort. A Cadence sensor is different. When you start to pedal and the sensor detects your pedaling, the motor kicks in and revs up to the top speed for the PAS Level your in. So if PAS 1 is set for 10 mph, the bike will reve up to 10mph with little to no effort on your part. Now, having said all that, you can still get exercise with a cadence sensor. In the same example, some people will leave the bike in PAS 1 but pedal up to 11 mph or more. But the bike is only going to provide power for 10 mph anything higher is your effort. The Deer Mini has the cadence sensor. Hope this helps.
