My first Magnum bike has a setting for the PAS of Eco, Normal, or Turbo. Eco made it less “peppy,” which was what I wanted. Eco also helped to extend the battery charge.

Hey great video Richard. I was watching the video . And it seemed you struggled more then Zora bike riding through that terrain at the very start. Is it more harder to control the magicycle bike?

As mentioned in the video, it was a little harder to maintain my balance. Part of the problem is its new and I'm still getting used to it. Also, the handlebars are a little low for someone that is 6' plus. I think when I add the bar extension it will be fine. Rick didn't have any problems with controlling it. It would be the bike I would buy next if I could. I only have one ebike, a 20” Magnum Premium Step-through folding ebike. It is a fun bike for sure.

It's good that your local trails let you on them with e-bikes. They are banned on almost all of our mountain bike trails here in Western Michigan. However, I don't think these e-bikes were made for this type of off-road trail.

ebikes are not high-end mountain bikes, they are heavy and clunky. But, they take a lot and yes you can use them off road. No jumps or black diamond trails for me, but some rough terrain is fine.

For navigating this sort of terrain, you're better off with larger wheels. Never seen a 20 in. mountain bike. Man, I was nervous for you, some of those areas were super sketchy.

Bigger tires roll over the bumps easier, but a 26" tire is less nimble. I took my Basalt ST on this trail when I first got it. Never again, it was a white knuckle experience. I like 20" fat tires on this trail much better.

I can navigate tight trails way better on a 20” than a 26”. Riding on the beach is better with the larger tires if it’s loose sand but both manage well. Love the Magicycle Mini!!

They may be stronger, but a lot of mountain bikes have spokes. Incidentally I was just in the garage, the ZORA bike with mag wheels has two flats this morning. The Deer mini that hit a tree stump is fine.

@@pedrofernandez8729 I just put slim in both unfortunately I think I'll be changing the rear tube. It seems to be leaking around the stem. I had a little slim on hand, but have decided to go with Flat-Out. it has a longer life span. Just purchased a gallon so I can add it to all my tires as a preventative. Been lucky so far.

No, they handled it well. There was one small trail that was very short but had some technical parts that were a little challenging, but they had the power to do it.

Other than the full suspension, what is the difference between this bike and the Ocelot Pro? Just dont see the $500 difference as the Ocelot Pro is on sale for $1,989 on their website

I don't have an Ocelot Pro to compare, but all I'm seeing online is the just the rear suspension, but if you notice its a different frame/rear rack. Best I can tell its the same powerful motor and has all the same components.

@@JKinLVN I always wanted the Ocelot Pro until the Deer 20" came out. I think the Ocelot is a very capable ebike and I have taken many ebikes on this trail that did not have the rear suspension. I always add the $30 suspension post and a more comfy saddle to my bikes. Thanks for the comments.

@@EbikeReviews - Yes, I agree. I'm looking at the Deer, and no doubt...I find value in the rear suspension. For me, I might have gotten the Deer if it was available back then because I had the extra money. But it's definitely not worth the hassle of selling my Ocelot Pro right now. I'm not big on any "upgrades" on products I'm happy with. Just to give you an idea...I'm still using a 5 year old Iphone which is no longer supported. 😂 I will finally upgrade later this year.
