Nice place to ride. I just started using a wireless mic that I have not told anybody I’m using yet. Lol. I have only had one occasion where I have spoken to someone else while wearing the wireless. My solution, and it did work out that time, was to just unplug the wireless and use the camera mic. Worked well. Thanks for the video and for the good you do the ebiking community.

Nice bike path. I did my first long multi-path ride a couple weeks ago and got lost a few times because of insufficient or poor signage. I recovered each time thanks to Google Maps and knowing ultimately where I was trying to go but something path planners could improve on.

I like to have cruise control in a car if I am going on a long road trip, otherwise I have no use for it on my car or e bike. Mine has it and I wasn't even aware of it.

XNito has been awesome on the customer service front. I told them the only improvement they should consider is adding reflective material on the sides of the helmet so you can be seen by cars approaching at a 90 degree angle. Of course the user can add it aftermarket.

I’ve been riding my ebike with 0 PA (Core 5) more often but there just no way I can not use the throttle sometimes. It’s just too fun to be riding around then use the throttle to power up a hill. Looks from drivers when they see the bike accelerating up a hill and me just barely peddling :).

I have many Ebikes and to keep from getting it confused, I leave them on the bike. I don’t ever leave my bike anywhere, so the keys can just stay on the bike. You should not do that though.

@@RussIsRight I picked up a box of plastic tags from Amazon, now all our keys for our ebikes and locks have a nice tag on them. They open, then write on the paper inside, then snap shut. Works like a champ.

I wonder would it make sense to have a flashing light or reflection of some kind on the side of the helmet especially if your going across intersections people could see you better ? Just a thought

100% agree it would help allot. I drive allot at night and i watch for bikes but without a headlight AND tailight its nearly impossible to see them when you add in any car headlights ruining night vision. Wheel Lights are what i want but theres no really nice system for them.

I'd have no use for cruise control. I also don't have a use for a throttle, but that's just me. Even if I did want to throttle and not pedal for some reason, I wouldn't want it.

It would be nice if the cruise control was like a car, where you can easily toggle it on and off. I understand its for safety purposes, but I still wonder why ebikes went that route... surely there is a better way. It would be kind of scary if a car worked that way, Lol. My cycle analyst works the same way, gotta hold the throttle for 3 seconds. I find it mind boggling how we have established 'Things That Generally Work' with motor vehicles, like cruise control buttons and speed limits. But then with ebikes we have to try and do everything funny and reinvent the wheel, like cruise control via "holding the throttle for 7 seconds", and california ebike classifications based on arbitrary watt / power ratings and whether or not you have a throttle.

They show $1699 as its suggested retail price, but it has never really sold for that. Right now it is at $1199 which is lower than it's ever been that I can recall. Many of the bikes online have a price on it, but usually doesn't actually sell for that high, so you really have to just check every now and then for what it will actually be selling for at that time.

Cruise control on my ebike requires that you press a button and hold it down for three seconds. Just holding down throttle won't trigger it alone. Seems safer my way.

I think you’re making the drop off more complicated than it has to be. They know you and the bike, I’m sure they’d PayPal or Venmo you some money. Meet them anywhere public that’s mutually agreeable in your car, take it out, and it’s theirs. The cash transaction makes it less convenient and riskier. This way, they already paid you and shenanigans are at a minimum.

I definitely don’t get as much exercise on my ebike as my regular bike. I ride with no assist sometimes but it’s fun to use the power on hills or off road on trails. If my ebike was one of the heavier ones, riding without assist would be pretty horrible.

@@RussIsRight Russ, you were on the West Branch DuPage River Trail. At 10:15 you needed to go north past the Mobil Station. Not left or right . When in doubt stay along the river. It appears the trail goes a good distance north from that point. If you head south on that trail it connects to the DuPage River Trail and the DuPage River Greenway Trail. That area has a good deal of connecting trails once you learn your way around. I may check that out myself sometime.
